Avalon Scenery Overview

The Scenery joined the Avalon fleet in April 2008 introducing the line's Scenery class. It's smaller than its predecessors, carrying just 138 passengers in 67 cabins and two suites. The ship is designed for rivers that cannot accommodate larger vessels and spends its time plying the waters of the Rhone and Saone Rivers between Chalon-sur-Saone and Arles.

Here's what you can expect onboard:

Staterooms, all outside, measure 172 square feet, with junior suites at 258 square feet. Cabins on the Royal and Sapphire Decks have "French balconies," sliding glass doors with a protective railing; remaining cabins have picture windows.

Cabin amenities include flat-screen satellite TV, radio, mini-bar, safe and hair dryers. Beds can be configured into two twins or one queen and come with high-quality pillows and duvets and Egyptian cotton linens.

Scenery has four decks, including a sky deck for sunning and relaxing by the pool. There are multiple lounges, an open-seating dining room, a hairdresser and a fitness center. Smoking is not permitted in interior areas. An onboard elevator is available for guest use.
