Thomson Celebration offers no family facilities outside of the Kids Club, although older children and teenagers are welcome to take part in the ship's daily fun activities, such as trivia and observing ice carving demonstrations.
Highchairs are available in all restaurants and cots for infants can be requested free of charge at the time of booking, however cot space is not available in all cabins. Thomson Cruises' doesn't offer babysitting services, but parents can sign children in to one of the evening sessions, such as pyjama parties or the film nights.
A kids' menu featuring dishes such as fish fingers or chicken nuggets and chips is available on request. Children can also dine off the restaurant menus.
Children must be potty trained and supervised by adults to use the Deck 5 pool. The Kids Club remains open on port days, although adults must stay on the ship when their child is in the kids' club and leave details of their whereabouts in case they're needed.
Thomson Cruises doesn't recommend the ship for infants under six months.
The Kids Club is broken down into Tots for 3 to 5-year-olds, Team for s6 to 8-year-olds and Tribe for 9 to 11 –year-olds, with three sessions per day, typically in the morning, early afternoon and early evening. Times can vary day-to-day, and times are shown in the Cruise News.
The space is colourful and brightly decorated, with its own reception and ocean views at the front of the ship. There is a dedicated space for parents with younger children called the Baby Centre. Staff aren't authorised to change nappies, so parents have to do this.
The Kids Club operates on an eight kids to one host ratio. Facilities include a DVD player and large flat-screen TV, a giant Connect Four, a giant Jenga and Nintendo Wii station, while activities include arts and crafts, mini discos, film nights, Wii tournaments and pyjama parties. Activities organised around the ship include visits to the bridge, treasure and autograph hunts and backstage theatre tours.
Thomson Celebration does not offer a programme for teenagers.
