Corinthian II features all outside suites with queen beds (convertible into twins), sitting areas, air-conditioning, mini-refrigerators, safes, TV's, and marble-appointed baths and showers. The majority of suites range from 225 to 285 square feet. Suites feature sitting areas but are not "genuine suites" with separate living and sleeping sections. On the upper two decks, a dozen verandah (300 square feet) and penthouse (400 square feet) suites include balconies with sliding-glass doors and butler service. Balconies for the verandah suites each have a small table and two chairs, while penthouse suite balconies are each furnished with a full table, a chaise lounge and two chairs.
A typical Deck 4 suite is tastefully decorated with a royal blue palette and rich rosewood paneling. Blue quilted spreads top comfortable beds flanked by night tables and reading lamps. A curtain separates the sleeping area from a spacious sitting area furnished with a blue velveteen armchair, matching couch and glass coffee table. Above the sofa, a framed Chagall-like print adds a colorful touch. Inside the closet are white cotton robes and slippers, as well as ample hanging space and storage.
The well-lit wood burl desk in each cabin is an inviting space with a 110-volt outlet for computers and ample trio of drawers on each side. A second wood unit features a television, four roomy cubbies, a safe, six drawers and mini-fridge stocked with soda, beer and bottled water.
The ship boasts satellite TV, but if signals are weak, your viewing options might be limited to one movie after dinner.
Each bath features an attractive marble vanity and slatted teak floor, with plenty of under-sink storage and small glass shelves flanking the sink. A plastic curtain separates a shower stall fitted with a pair of soap dishes, seat and adjustable shower head. L'Occitane shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are provided, as well as shoe polish, cotton swabs, an emery board and makeup remover.
In the "needs improvement" category: Both the grip and vacuum cleaner-like hose on the blow dryer are likely to overheat after several minutes. (Spare hair dryers are available at the reception desk.)
A daily program and pillow chocolates arrive with the nightly turndown service. Reasonably priced laundry service is available, and clothes left in the evening are returned the next morning. Disembarkations and lectures are announced through the PA system.
Spacious with ample storage space. Triple closet, dressing table, dresser with TV. Bathroom with shower, commode, sink. Sitting area with sofa and chair. Small built in refrigerator. Room wood paneled and carpeted. Picture window. Thermostatically controlled hear and air....
