There are 16 interconnecting family cabins. The refit has included a complete refurbishment of the Reef children's clubs on deck 8. We were very impressed with the facilities for different ages and the professional staff and security arrangements. The 2-4 year olds are Splashers, 5-8 year olds Surfers, 9-12 year olds Scubas, and the 13-17 year olds are Reef Rangers and have the H20 club. There's a colourful programme for the age groups which sets out all the activities on offer during the cruise. For example, the fun and games for Surfers include hand print jellyfish, making shark hats and decorating Mr Men cookies. H20 has a mix of music, games and discos, with a gaming area where teenagers can challenge each other with the latest video games. All the facilities are open every day and vary depending whether the ship is at sea or in port. On sea days the clubs are normally open from 9 a.m. for the younger children and from 10 a.m. for youngsters aged nine and over. On port days opening times in the afternoon vary, but they call close from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for children's tea in the Horizon Restaurant. The children's facilities close at 11 p.m. The free night nursery, for children from 6 months to 4 years, is available on a first come, first served basis and is open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Aurora does not offer a baby sitting or cabin listening service.
