Celebrity Xperience Review
Celebrity Xperience Overview
Celebrity Cruises will increase its Galapagos Islands passenger capacity by 65 percent in spring 2016, following the acquisition of tour operator Ocean Adventures and its two ships, 48-passenger Xperience (formerly Eclipse, not to be confused with Celebrity Eclipse, another member of the Celebrity Cruise Line fleet) -- and 16-passenger Xploration, a catamaran formerly known as M/C Athala II. Both ships will continue to offer Ocean Adventures itineraries up until their January 2017 dry-docks.
This first of the two vessels, Celebrity Xperience, will provide seven-, 10- or 13-night immersive itineraries throughout the Galapagos region. In addition to Xpedition's current land-and-cruise packages, Celebrity will offer new Xperiential Galapagos packages, multi-night hotel stays, interactions with locals, and an expanded list of destinations, including Puerto Villamil, Darwin Bay, Black Turtle Cove, Chinese Hat Islet and Wall of Tears.
Xperience currently has 26 cabins, indoor and outdoor dining areas, two bars, a library, and a sun deck Jacuzzi. More details regarding Xperience and its 2017 dry dock will be released in the coming months.
