Norwegian Cruise Line is the leader in roundtrip seven-day cruises from U.S. and Canadian ports with its homeland cruising program. Ships sail seasonally from Boston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami, Seattle and Vancouver – and Port Canaveral, beginning in 2010 -- and year-round from New York. Pride of America homeports in Honolulu and currently offers seven-night cruises to Maui (Kahului), Hilo, Kona and Kauai.
In addition to Hawaii, Alaska and the Caribbean, NCL sails to Mexico and South America. Norwegian has been ramping up its presence in Europe for the past few years and that trend continues. In 2013, the line will have four ships -- including Norwegian Jade (cruising from Venice), Norwegian Spirit (cruising from Venice), Norwegian Star (cruising from Copenhagen) and Norwegian Epic (cruising from Barcelona, Rome and Provence) -- in Europe.
Norwegian Cruise Line has also established itself as one of the major players in Bermuda cruising. Currently, Norwegian Star (out of New York) and Norwegian Dawn (Boston) sail there on seven night cruises. In 2013, the line will offer the seven night roundtrip New York-Bermuda cruises on its newest ship, Norwegian Breakaway.
NCL also offers Canada/New England cruises, as well. Two ships -- Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Gem -- sail a series of seven to 10-day Canada & New England itineraries.
Norwegian also offers a variety of short cruises. Travelers looking for a quick getaway can sample one of the line's one- to four-night sailings from New York, Miami, Tampa, Vancouver and even a few select European cities.
