A beautifully designed cabin on deck four with a huge window close to the water. A great spot to enjoy wild dolphins or just admire the beauty of the ocean and the sill is wide enough to sit in.
The cabin was dusty and there was grit/sand in the carpet but it was otherwise clean. Pleased to note no mustiness and good, adjustable air con.
The cabin is well located in a short run, right near guest services and The Centrum where a lot of parties are held. The sound proofing is excellent and even though there were many noisy activities only a few metres away you couldn't hear them with the door closed.
The shower was excellent with a removable shower head and good pressure. The bathroom was spotless.
We noted that in rougher weather there was a persistent knocking noise (sounded like something unsecured hitting something metal) and this took some getting used to. First time I've travelled without a balcony and I did miss the sea breeze and the way the sound of the ocean will mask any ship noises, but the view from the window made up for it. We loved our cabin from the moment we saw it. The porthole made it seem pretty adventurous and the views while we were going past the Hubbard Glacier of all the ice float were stunning!
We liked that we were apart from much of the activity as we are early risers (and so early to bed) the evenings were quiet.
We also liked that we were lower as it was less rocky (We had a few windy and turbulent nights!)
There was plenty of room, lots of drawer and cabinet space. We brought a large and a med suitcase so the med one could fit inside the large and then go in the closet. Our Room Steward Noel was WONDERFUL!! Our cabin was spotless every time we entered. It made us feel very well taken care of.
We mostly took the stairs: always down and most of the time up, unless we were going right up to 12 or 13! Mostly this was fine except the mornings when we disembarked from 2 and there were lines and on some evenings when the pictures were being taken on several floors right at the exit points (odd arrangement we thought)
The elevators were slow and most often crowded. If you're not a stairs person, you might want to consider that! (Entertainment was mostly on 4/5 and food 11/12) Read entire member review >>
Loved the cabin, it was in a great location. We picked a lower floor central ship so we wouldn't feel the moment of the ship as much, but this cruise was smooth anyway. The room was easily accessible to the elevators, and close to the main dining. It was just one floor from the Celarium so close to the action but apart from the noise. It seemed like it was close to everything and took the steps instead of waiting for the elevators. We did have a problem with our toilet that maintenance had to fix each day, but when I told the room steward, he got the guest services involved and it got fixed so it didn't give a problem again, then they sent us a bottle of champagne. The cabin was of a large size especially when compared with outside cabins I have had with other cruise line ships. A little dated in appearance and worn around the edges but kept spotlessly clean by Giri our steward. Besides the ample wardrobe space there is a desk with large mirrors and numerous storage drawers plus a large three seater sofa. The TV was a flatscreen model on a positioning bracket and arm which meant you could comfortable watch it from both the singe beds. One thing that let the cabin down though was the fact the carpet should have been replaced a long time ago as it was looking very worn and grubby especially in the entrance/wardrobe/bathroom area. It looked as though it had been shampooed so many times the grim had soaked in while the colour had come out. The shower room was of an adequate size with a lot of storage space with a good size shower cubicle let down by having a curtain which clung to the person showering each time it was used. There was also an issue with the toilet flush which failed on several occasions but even when working sometimes needed several pushes to flush successfully. As soon as the failed flush was reported to Giri he reported it to the maintenance department and it was fixed in no time at all. Read entire member review >>
Loved our cabin, liked being on a lower deck and truly, we had to look out the window sometimes to check the boat was moving it was so quiet. Port side, midship, well placed for stairs and elevators and no problem finding a place to hang or stow our clothes etc. Bathroom clean and regularly checked by our friendly steward. Lots of storage with storage behind mirrors and well laid out wardrobe. A good view and right in the middle of the ship. It's very quiet as there is only cabins above you and not any public area. Read entire member review >>

We were located half way between front and rear elevators which was a fairly long walk which was fine with us. Loved being on Deck 4 because the dining room was located there and the theatre was one floor up. It was quiet except the last night when someone overhead was dropping things. The closet space was fine for 2 people and lots of shelf space to stash stuff in the desk and behind mirrors. The shower was too small but we managed. The window was very large. The sheets were very soft and the towels were large. Read entire member review >>
Nice room. Not too small. No overhead bunks to smack your head on. Comfy bed. Unobstructed view from window. Closet and drawer space adequate for 7 day cruise. Might be small for a longer cruise. Bathroom was disappointing. No toiletries. Only a bar of soap and all purpose gel dispenser in shower. No lotion, facial soap, shower cap, shoe polishing cloth, etc. I left my stuff home because I knew? they would supply it. I've had better amenities at a Motel 6. I know all cruise lines are looking for ways to cut back, but this really came across as cheap. I couldn't even get what I needed by asking the cabin steward. They were simply not available. Location of our cabin was great, quiet and convenient. Had no one on one side and our traveling companions on the other. We didn't hear any outside noise. Just around the corner from elevator and stairs. Very smooth sailing. Enjoyed the window, big enough for us both to look out easily. Read entire member review >>
Two person outside cabin adjoining cabin 3078 with three beds. Great for a family of five if you book both. Good sized room, quiet but close to the Centrum elevators. Portside with a nice big porthole about 4 feet in diameter with room-wide ledge great for holding more stuff such as hats and books etc. Darkening shades worked great. There is an outhouse smell in the bathroom but just bring a deodorizer for the trip and you'll be fine. Very clean and in good repair. Room 3078's shower nozzle needs repair though (but no smell in this bathroom). Read entire member review >>
I was quite shocked at how large the cabin's closet's were. And there was ample storage space anywhere and every where. The shower is quite small, but we adjusted quickly and got into the cruise life fast and hard. :) We were in the very back of the ship on the third floor and it was so quiet, it was unreal. We loved our room and don't have any complaints about anything to do with the rooms. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin 31xx (not revealed for privacy) has a large round window which, of course, provides a beautiful view of Alaskan mountains and harsh Pacific ocean. The cabin is small, but arranged efficiently to use every space available. We emptied our two big luggages and one carry-on luggage to fit the closed closet. The cabin is on the 3rd floor and very close to the Aft, but we didn't hear any engine noise. The small shower room does not bother us. Read entire member review >>
