This is a beautiful ship in excellent condition with outstanding cuisine and a very attentive staff & crew. I have sailed 2 previous times with Princess but this was my first time on an "older" Princess ship. Now I chuckle writing that because the Island Princess just came out of an extensive dry dock and looks brand new!
We originally booked a mini-suite and were offered an upsale 6 weeks ...
I booked this cruise very last minute and actually didn't do a lot of research prior as there wasn't time. I knew Princess was a nice cruise line, but hadn't sailed with them before, and found out the ship had just been through a major drydock. I chose the cruise because of a very good price and a great itinerary that included Istanbul.
By the time I booked, all balconies were sold out, and ...
We were very much looking forward to this cruise as I had really enjoyed last princess cruise and this itinerary although had some destinations we had done before there were half we hadn't.
Check in easy and relatively simple, satisfied with our cabin which was mini suit on C deck forward. Had lovely steward who took care of our needs.
Had lunch then encountered issue with package we had ...
My wife and I joined two other couples for a 12 night grand tour Mediterranean cruise which embarked in Venice and finished in Barcelona. The ship underwent a two or three month re-fit which eliminated some lounge areas, down sized the fitness center and moved it into the bilge and added a couple hundred cabins. I'm sort of a fitness nut so the losing the luxurious fitness center was a bummer, ...
Well, being platinum members with Princess this is showing which way the company is headed! This ship should have NEVER left dry dock! When we boarded, our cabins were not ready as they usually are on other princess ships, then after about an hour they said they were ready-NOT! Our cabin door did not lock, safe didn't work, phone didn't work, and most of all, there were No toiletries in our ...
The title line says it all, which I borrowed from a fellow passenger. After one day's sailing, I could already list at least ten problems, some major and some minor, and the list got longer as the days passed. So here is my rather unorganized recollection:
This voyage spent the first night at Venice and left port at 1 pm the following day. An emergency drill was given right before the ship ...
This trip from Venice to Barcelona was a birthday gift for my daughter. I have been on many cruises with my husband but this was a girls only trip. I was hoping for an excellent experience for her as it was her first cruise. Unfortunately the problems we encountered turned what should have been a totally relaxing, worry-free trip into a bit of a nightmare for the first half of the trip.
As ...
I loved this cruise. The shore excursions were all amazing. Some better than others, but more of a matter of the hoards of people at some of the destinations ie: The Vatican. The Island Princess' Horizon Court is nicer that any I've seen. Newly renovated. The Sanctuary was also new and lovely. The cabanas and the staff were amazing.
I ate at all of the restaurants and my favourite was Bayou ...
Just sailed on the Regal Princess for our transatlantic cruise... Let me tell you about the positives.... The ship was gorgeous. The food in the buffet was adequate.... The bad news.... The elevators were not running properly.... You had to wait sometimes 1/2hour to 45min to get into an elevator..... This was not a 17 day cruise.... This was a 30 dy cruise, were it picked up addt'l passengers in ...
REGAL PRINCESS REVIEW Sept 23 to October 5th, 2014 Mini Suite L224
PRO’s:
Princess spared no money in public parts of this ship! Beautiful start with the Plaza deck. Our 1st cruise was on the original Royal Princess (700 pass) years ago. After many other cruises we selected a mini-suite, 16th deck, great view, close to the pools, jacuzzi, Prego pizza, and Horizon dining, well worth the price. ...
