From a first time cruiser to Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

I chose Princess Cruiseline for our Alaskan cruise because of excellent reviews from family members who had done this trip several years ago. Not only was this my first cruise ever, it was my first trip to Alaska as well. My boyfriend and I flew out from JFK (NYC) into Toronto and on to Vancouver the day before the ship's departure. The security process at the Toronto airport was very slow. We ...

We felt like prisoners on the Island Princess

We are elite cruisers with Princess (have sailed on many ships) and booked two 7 day Alaska cruises from July 3 - July 17, 2019 on the Island Princess. This ship is sadly lacking in public amenities and the cabin was so small you couldn't escape to it either. There is no International Cafe, which on other Princess ships serves a menu of very fresh food for 24 hours a day. After 11 pm the only ...

Didn't see anything better with Princess

We have sailed with Carnival and Royal Caribbean previously. I was led to believe that Princess was a step up, so to speak, in quality. I was disappointed. First off, why Vancouver? The embarking experience was a waste of time. Vancouver looks to be a beautiful city, one that I wouldn't mind going back to. But for someone traveling in to embark on a cruise, the amount of time it took to go ...

Alaska’s best

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Coral Princess

Having traveled on Princess before to Alaska I knew I wanted to do it again. The itinerary was perfect. I loved cruising Glacier Bay and seeing it all from my balcony. A balcony cabin is a must for this scenic cruise. I signed up for a balcony glacier photo and got some of the best pictures without having to fight for the rail on the upper decks. I strongly recommend taking the White Pass railway ...

Princess Cruises. Coral Princess. June 26 – July 3, 2019. Alaska This was our very first cruise. We have friends in Anchorage that we wanted to visit so we took the 7 day cruise up to Whittier, visited them for a week and flew home from there. We have always been skeptical about cruises but this generally exceeded our expectations. Comments in no particular order: 1. The ship was ...

I was a bit reluctant to book another cruise after disastrous cruise few years back but I was hoping that Alaskan cruise would be different and I was absolutely right. First of all the weather was perfect, no rain. The quality of entertainment was very good with many professional performers. All staff memers were very pleasant and helpful. Ship was quite elegant and well appointed; good ...

This was our third cruise on Princess. We are, or were, loyal to the Princess product. We have sailed others but returned. When our daughter was born we switched to Disney. I was so happy to return to Princess... Disney was great and served our needs at the time. Disney does exactly what you expect of a Disney product. With that being said, when the kids grow up, it's time to go back to a ...

This was our first cruise and we had a balcony cabin as we didn't want to miss out on seeing anything. We chose the Coral Princess as it was a slightly smaller ship with less people on board. We are from New Zealand and this was our first time in Canada and Alaska. This cruise was absolutely fabulous. The scenery was breathtaking, the food was delicious, the bed was comfortable, the crew were ...

What a way to take your first Alaskan Cruise, depart the day after the summer solstice, have the best weather that they have seen in awhile, and do a one way trip up the coast with awesome visibility. Note: heading North get cabin on Starboard, heading South get cabin on Port. This was my first trip with Princess and I will say that the whole experience was enhanced with the introduction of the ...

We got this cruise as a gift from our sons for our 40th anniversary. The scenery was breath taking. The food on board was nothing to write home about but the ship was extremely clean. Never offer to share a table because the table has to be filled before they serve you. We were at a table for 8 people the wait time was 45 minutes. Check your plates or bowls for metal bolts or hair ...
