Majestic in size not in service!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

We have always enjoyed princess cruises having traveled over 400 days with them but this cruise was a huge disappointment. We booked a suite thinking it would be a wonderful experience and we would be spoilt from start to finish during the 28 day’s onboard. On the positive side the concierge lounge and staff were fantastic, the happy hour was very social and the food and snacks were ...

Rather Disappointing

Our first time with Princess, having previously cruised with HAL, but we did not find this ship very comfortable. For a cruise line that, as we believed, catered to more 'senior' passengers, there was very little in the way of lounges to sit comfortably with a coffee and a book. Getting a table in a lounge for pre-dinner drinks was not easy - the very large Vista Lounge was open at this time to ...

We were on a once in a lifetime trip to Australia and New Zealand and as part of the trip booked a Princess Cruise to the South Pacific. Before we even embarked on the cruise one of the stops had been cancelled, we then had another island stop cancelled whilst on the cruise which was due to passenger illness, which can't be helped. Food and service was very average and the whole experience was ...

2nd time Princess. First was average. Oh how we wished for avg this time! New app drops orders. Service is terrible. Excursions as cheap and crap locations possible. We are in the Pacific and brought to the slums of Fiji? Nothing majestic to be seen on this cruise! Onboard talent was better that avg except one comedian was abborent. Many ppl left his show. It's not the money wasted..it was two ...

After this cruise was cancelled a few times due to the pandemic I was starting to worry if I was actually going to get there. I am so glad that it finally happened, it made me remember why I love cruising and it felt like it was my first cruise all over again, for context my last cruise was in September 2019. I will make a quick disclaimer about the ship itself. When it was initially ordered ...

Choose this cruise to Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu because I enjoyed the cruise some years ago and have always wanted to go back. First cruise post COVID so was interested to see how cruising had changed. Unfortunately cruise itinerary was changed multiple times before sailing. Stop in Isle of Pines (one of the nicest Islands) was cancelled due to operational reasons afew months before ...

This was my Annual birthday getaway. Fabulous mini suite facing forward with amazingly large balcony. Great crew and customer service during this and back to back cruise following. Sabatini’s was excellent as usual. Main dining room very accommodating and dinner choices always outstanding. Alfredo’s pizza restaurant staff great. Large ship with many bars to choose from and medallion even allows ...

We took my 95yr mother in law on the cruise, the 3 of us had a great time, Health protocols were followed , we saw no evidence of Covid. So no health issues. The food was excellent, the restaurant staff in The Symphony Restaurant were amazing. Danilo the Maitre' Dand Robert our head waiter deserve special mention, their service was exemplary. Robert made my mother in law (and us) feel very ...

We choose this cruise for us and a family as we had this booked before covid so it was special. Just to be disappointing embarking the ship almost impossible even though we were given a time slot which they did not follow through long line ups. No sail ways entertainment very poor, movies under the stars daytime not suitable for children Edward scissor and west side story just voices no movie ...

Standards are slipping, Princess

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

Overall, and based on this cruise, I would say Princess’ standards are slipping. There are minor cut backs chipping away around the edges of what used to be a premium cruise line, perhaps due to the struggling parent company. The Good The room (mini-suite) was great, though I don’t know why they still use shower curtains. Perhaps that is because of the tub, and reduces cleaning? The only ...
