We choose this cruise for the transit through the Pannama Canal. The commentary though out the cruise and in the canal was fantastic. Loved the Captains updates.
We where very pleased with our inside cabin and twin beds. Our cabin steward was fantastic.
The food on the other hand was mediocre at best. Beef was the the downfall each night it was served. I have never had a more boring ...
We had been on the Emerald Princess before, and enjoyed it. Since the last time it has been update and some areas remolded. Very nicely I might add. Biggest noticeable difference is the Market Place on the Lido deck. More open and bright, and the eating area seems larger and much nicer. We enjoyed the ports that we stopped at, all of them. On previous cruises there were some ports we did not ...
Have done the historic locks 3 times from Atlantic to Pacific, so joined friends to see the new locks going from Pacific to Atlantic. Somehow, I was expecting more differences between the old & new locks, but either way it’s quite the engineering marvel even if you’re not too technically inclined. Did enjoy the stop at Fuerte Amador on the Pacific side and being able to get off to see the ...
Starting at embarkation sitting in an overcrowded hall for the better part of 3 hours - we were not off to a good start! No credible explanation from Princess; no bother to greet the arriving pxs when they finally made it on board.
Balcony stateroom was okay but was very shocked to find torn sheets and stained pillowcases on the bed (replaced 2 days later). Room steward was great as were a few ...
Because I am generally a really positive person that tries to see the good in everything, I will start off with that. Edward the cabin steward was fantastic and just a great guy. He genuinely cared and worked hard. The food was generally pretty good in the dining room and the dining room staff was fun to interact with and they worked hard. Although - it makes no sense how we can be travelling ...
Antarctica was the only continent I had not visited before this cruise and it was the last item on my bucket list. I chose a Princess cruise because I am an Elite member and have always found that Princess caters for persons with disabilities. I have mobility problems owing to Parkinson's Disease and found the staff friendly and very helpful. Our cabin was, like all Princess cabins, clean and ...
We wanted to go to Antarctica for an affordable price and were excited when Princess started offering trips there again after 8 years. We took our 2 kids (ages 6 and 8) and my brother even brought his 1 year old daughter.
Pros:
1) Antarctica is truly beautiful and amazing.
2) The Falkland Islands were great and the tours are all in personal vehicles so you get a very small group as you ...
We chose Princess because we had never taken this line before and we wanted to take the family to Alaska this summer and had to check the line out. Embarkation was a couple of hours late with no explanation. Our cabin was as expected. We could have used an extra chair, but we made do. Our luggage did not make it to our cabin until after late dinner. So we had dinner in our clothes that had ...
Wanted to experience the new locks of the Panama Canal and enjoy some sunshine over the Christmas Season.
We have cruised with Princess 5 times previously and agree with other reviewers that the atmosphere is slipping. Our room steward was fabulous but the Anytime dining servers are generally too rushed and the officers appeared stressed and were not friendly or helpful. In general all the ...
This was the seventh cruise for my husband and me, the fourth with Princess. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. We knew the weather would be hot and humid, but were not prepared for how exhausting it would be. (Of course, I'm not implying that this was Princess's fault!) We were glad to have all the sea days to recuperate!
Embarkation in Ft. Lauderdale was chaotic, to put it mildly. We have ...
