First off if you are handicapped this ship is impossible to get down the corridors with a scooter or wheelchair once the housekeeping puts their carts out in morning which lasts all day .My wife needs a scooter to get around which we had to leave by the elevators until late at night after housekeeping was done ,which meant she had to walk from elevator area to room . I have never been on a ship ...

Emerald Princess-Panama Canal

Getting on the ship was terrible, people were waiting over 2 hours just to get inside the building. They were only letting in 2-3 people at a time. The overall appearance of the ship was good. The food in the upstairs buffet was not very good. The dinning room had 2-3 good nights to choose from and the rest were not so good of choices. It's a good thing they have salmon on the everyday side of the ...

Felt like second-class citizens

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Emerald Princess

Our 20th cruise with Princess, 20 days on the Crown in January/Feburary 2019, was one of the three best we’ve taken with this line, thanks to the creative activity and entertainment options on board. (You can read my review here on CC). Our 21st Princess cruise, through the Panama Canal December 3-18, was, on board at least, pretty much the worst. We felt like second-class citizens because of the ...

I would think about this...

This was my longest ever cruise, at 15 nights aboard the Emerald Princess. I got to be reacquainted with the good, so-so, and bad in the 2+ weeks. Embarkation was a nightmare. The inbound arrival was 5 hours late in disembarking. Check in actually stopped, as they had no place to put anymore people without violating the capacity for the fire escapes. Unfortunately, the Los Angeles vendor staff ...

We had an amazing time on the Coral Princess during our 18-day Brazilian Adventure in December 2019. The Coral Princess was the perfect sized cruise ship!! It was a very well maintained and the staff as usual was terrific. Fernando the cruise director was the best we have had with this being our 17th cruise on Princess. The production show “The Bayou” was terrific as was the other ...

This was the first time Princess has gone to Antarctica

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Coral Princess

Choose the cruise based on the itinerary. Cruising Antarctica was amazing. Really enjoyed all 34 days. Friendly, helpful staff. The food was great but did get a bit redundant. The captain was engaging and the naturalists we had on board were knowledgeable and entertaining. The interior is getting a little dated and the jokes about the tiny showers are more fact than anything else. The shore ...

My First Cruise with Princess - the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

Sailing through the Panama Canal was checked off my bucket list. We selected this cruise through a local travel agent (not our regular agency) because of the itinerary and the deal. We got a mid-ship, port side balcony cabin on B (11th) deck. This was our first Princess cruise and we came away agreeing that it would probably be our last. But first, I will say some of what we did like about our ...

Great crew, fun itinerary but a few things lacking

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Emerald Princess

We love sailing with Princess and enjoy the traditional atmosphere and older crowd. This cruise was great except for a few issues... Embarkation was bad from the start due to customs issues and computer problems. But I think it was just a fluke, It took several hours even for priority boarding ...They gave us free drinks on board with a nice apology for the delays. We were a party of three ...

The entertinment in the Wheelhouse Lounge was the highlight. "Touch of Class"

To experience the Panama Canal. The dining Maitre"D was delightful, visited each night during the meal. The desert nightly were disappointing. The buffet was very good, much better than the dining room. The quality of the food was even better. The Touch of Class in the Wheelhouse Bar was great. They got the guests involved. On breaks would come out and talk to the guests. Took requests ...
