This was our 4th Princess cruise and we really wanted to see the Panama Canal. The Ruby was a good choice, not too big. We know that it will always be a struggle to get a pool deck lounge chair or a table on the pool deck. The deck above the pool usually had lounge chairs available. The Panama Canal passengers were mostly over 50, many with walkers or scooters.
This time we chose a mini-suite ...
Words to describe our first time on Princess: average, uninspired, meh, just ok. We usually cruise on Royal Caribbean or Norwegian, but since Crown Princess had a sailing out of SF during our ski week, we decided to try it. Going in, I knew it would be a smaller ship without the activities of an Oasis class RC ship. What I didn't expect was how average it all was. Nothing blew us away.
We ...
We are a couple who joined two other couples chose this cruise because it started and ended in Auckland NZ. We have done around 20 cruises including three half world cruises over 30 years from Ponant to Paul Gaugin through Cunard, Sun Line, Carnival, P & O (UK), Princess and Celebrity.
At 3000 passengers it was the largest ship we had been on (our other cruises were all on 2000 or less ...
We chose this sailing for an 80th birthday celebration for my mother. We wanted to leave from Galveston and were hoping for a more premium experience than the other lines sailing from there. I don’t think Princess delivered though.
First, the Regal Princess is a beautiful ship. Most of the crew were friendly and thoughtful. However, before I even arrived at the terminal, I expected the worst. ...
We had so much fun! Our room steward was amazing! The food in the main dining room was very good. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The International Cafe was delicious and very easy to grab a quick bite. We went late to the dinner buffet, and it was not so great - but it was late and to be expected. The ports were a lot of fun, and this cruise seemed to be a nice mix of sea days and ...
This was the worst travel experience of my life. It was our first time on a cruise and certainly the last with Grand Princess. This cruise is suitable for 60 year olds and above only. The cruise itself is extremely outdated! I wouldn’t even say it could pass as a family cruise. 1 of the 3 stops they made over the 2 weeks was an industrial area. We even did a tour and didn’t even see much at all. ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted a cruise longer than 7 days. We enjoy sea days and this one gave us 5 glorious days to relax. Embarkation was a mess as far as dropping off luggage, they appeared to only have 5 or 6 guys collecting luggage. Once we dropped our bags the rest was a breeze, basically walked through security and onboard.
Our cabin was in a great location, we chose the Lido ...
For the first time we were in a suite . Corfu midship. Beautiful stateroom ….great big bathroom! We loved it! Business class at sea! Breakfast in Sabatinis was a treat . The staff there were fantastic. Even sang Happy Birthday to my husband with a candle in a muffin!
Dinners at night were very good …the lamb dishes especially.
There were not enough sea days to enjoy the ship! Ports were ...
We chose this cruise mainly because it was going through the Panama Canal which was fantastic, but unfortunately two of the original stops got cancelled, the stop in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua got cancelled just a short time after booking and Grand Cayman got cancelled as the swell was to bad for the tenders.
Pros:
All the staff were excellent
The Medallion App seemed to work well
The ...
It was our 50th wedding Aniversary.Boarded 6/2/2024 Singapore to Singapore through Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam. We were so disappointed with the lack of hygiene and infection control. There were no hand sanitizer in lobby were lifts were and the hand washing bays in the buffet area were not being used in the beginning. When Gastro came to staff attention on the 17/2/2024, things changed. All of a ...
