Still a great ship

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We decided to return to Alaska and have been on the Ruby princess before. From the Captain to Stewards everyone was spectacular. We were celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, and Father's day. Cannot say enough good things about the staff. The food on this ship was better than other ships in the same fleet. With exception of the dessert specialty or otherwise - all the desserts we tried were ...

Happy with our cruise, but didn't make us loyal to Princess

We had a minisuite and an obstructed view cabin on the Emerald deck. My cabin review below will be for the minisuite. Notes: - We had five total people on the cruise. Two kiddos (8 and 3), two parents (30s) and one grandmother (70s). - This was the second cruise for the parents. We did an Alaskan cruise 10 years ago and this time brought the grandma and the kiddos. So clearly we aren't ...

Food and service were big disappointment

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Regal Princess

We’ve done 4 Princess cruises in the past year with very good results, but this was an odd exception. We chose the cruise because of its attractive British Isles itinerary, and the itinerary was indeed very good. But unlike other Princess cruises, the food in the main dining rooms were of poor quality with very limited selection. The service was slow and sloppy, and the maitre d’s seldom smiled or ...

Lovely ship and crew

We departed from Vancouver, and checked in at the cruise terminal which was confusing and exhausting. The staff at the terminal seemed to lack sufficient knowledge to direct passengers to the ship. Weather was chilly and drizzly out of Vancouver and into Juneau. After Juneau, it got sunny and warm for the rest of the 10 days! We wanted to see a new port called Icy Strait Point and hoped ...

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Island Princess

This review is for the 33 day cruise, not just the part the CC system would recognize. I chose this cruise because it went to a much desired destination: Longyearbyen (Svalbard), an island north of the Arctic Circle belonging to Norway. I booked in February when I saw I could book a 33 day cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale to Southhampton to Norway and back to Southhampton. Not long after final ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

The ship had major issues so 3 days into 14 day trip and major adjustments had to be made to itinerary. My issue was lack of guess services concern. TOO BAD! Finally at 5:30 pm the day before disembarking we were given $100 per per NONREFUNDABLE credit. Unless you drink or like shopping could not be used because there were no appointments available. CORPORATE did not care! Staff on board ...

4th Time on the Caribbean Princess

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Summer caribbean cruises are a great way to visit beautiful beaches. My best friend had booked this cruise with her elderly parents. I decided to get a cabin for myself and another friend. After I booked this cruise, I read the reviews and I was not looking forward to this cruise. My expectations were not high at all. Embarkation was very easy, service was top notch all around, food was ...

I was surprised the reviews of the boat were so negative. The boat is fine and if something is not right, the staff will fix it right away. The food was excellent, we had some very tender steaks in the dining rooms. I didn’t think the steakhouse specialty dining room was any better or worse than the main dining rooms. The Italian specialty dining room was an experience though, they gave you 6 ...

Experiences on our Sapphire Princess - Alaska Trip

My husband and I went on this Alaska cruise as a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary (which occurred in 2020, so it was actually our 53rd). We have been on other cruise lines; this was our first with Princess. We were so impressed with our trip that we wanted to share this information. Our stateroom was very clean and spacious....and we loved our balcony! Great to have the balcony ...

Gorgeous views, awful food

We chose Princess for Alaska because we wanted to do land and sea; Denali and Glacier Bay National Park. Princess was impressively responsive in regards to assisting after flights got canceled. We had a mini suite room onboard and it was definitely the best cabin we have ever had - spacious with a beautiful balcony, which you 100% want for an Alaskan cruise if you can at all swing it. On the ...
