This was Fantastic

I'm probably easily impressed since I'm a first-time cruiser, but this was utterly fantastic. For 35 years I have shunned cruises because of seasickness, or norovirus, or drunks, or yada yada, but there was none of that to be had. I found the ship to be immaculate and beautiful. The crew was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious. Nathan Phan's shows were ...

Royal Princess not so Royal

Royal Princess This was our first cruise and we we’re celebrating our 30 year anniversary with family as well as celebrating our parents 64th! I honestly was disappointed and might of had too high of expectations. Couple of items that are a must; a balcony room (mid to forward ship mid floor) to escape to so you can privately enjoy the Alaska scenery and escape the 3500 guests on board. ...

Low Quality Guest Experience, Beautiful Destinations

We elected to go on a cruise as it seemed like the easiest way to experience Alaska. From that perspective, this cruise met our needs. The Alaskan ports offered good opportunities to experience the beautiful sights of Alaska. Still, the experience is downgraded by the touristy, completely overcrowded downtowns of the ports themselves. The downtowns seem to be mostly staffed by temporary summer ...

Princess and Alaska - Not for us

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Discovery Princess

We picked the Discovery Princess based on the schedule, we needed the July 4th week. I also liked that it was a new ship in the Princess fleet. We were very disappointed for various reasons. Ship - The ship is a cookie cutter version of other Carnival and Princess ships. They do not take customer feedback into account. Examples were lack of sinks in the buffet area, no plugs next to the ...

Our friends booked us. Spa, shows, and dining were incredible. Was so happy to make this our first cruise experience. Make sure you check the daily shows to further the experience. Husband brought salmon to ship and enjoyed dinning with our excellent chef and domo skills. The rooms were extremely clean and constantly refreshed. Check options for beverages pre purchased to enjoy in cabin. Wished we ...

We went on the 7 day Alaskan cruise on Discovery Princess. The ship is nice and extremely clean. We went on an anniversary trip with all adults. We got on the ship on Sunday with no problem. Signing in to the Wifi took a second but if you follow the instructions verbatim it is quick. Make sure to download the app before you get on the ship - it makes it much easier one of our group members ...

This was our first cruise to Alaska and our first time on the Discovery Princess. We stayed in a Penthouse suite across from the Concierge Lounge. Ports included Seattle, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria. Pros: - Penthouse suite was spacious and location was convenient to aft elevators and Concierge Lounge. Our stateroom stward was friendly and effecient. The Concierge host was ...

Avoid at all costs if you want any service

The “fine dining” aboard was TERRIBLE, the buffet was worse. If you don’t care about slop for meals then this is the ship for you!!! Not only did the staff clearly not care, but the simple things like having a dedicated bar at the restaurants was a huge miss. Took over 30 minutes for drinks on multiple occasions. overall one of my top 3 worst food experiences of my life, had there been a ...

First Time With Princess and It Won't Be The Last!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

We have cruised about 8 times in the past, all with Royal Caribbean. Then we didn't cruise for the past 3 years due to the pandemic. Our first time back to cruising was a weekend cruise to the Bahamas with Royal Caribbean and we were very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness on the pool deck, poor customer service and the quality of the food. I'm not sure if this is a post-pandemic ...

First and last cruise on Princess

I have been on 8 cruises and this was EASILY the worst. It was my first Princess cruise and will definitely be my last as well. I don't even know where to begin. The food was bad. Like really bad. I have never had a cruise where the buffet was literally inedible, but this was one. The dining room was a little better, but was hit or miss. If you do go on this cruise choose the Allegro dining room. ...
