They sail to great places in Alaska. Beautiful scenery. Can’t fault that. There is no coffee/tea making facilities in the room like, for example, P&O Cruise. Large gym with many treadmills. Charge for using launderette. I remember there are cruise lines that don’t charge for this. Unsatisfying vegetarian options although they tried to make something on the spot if there is no ...

An Alaskan cruise was not on my “To do” list but my daughter insisted we give it a try. I am so happy we did! Everything about this cruise was top notch. The ship is in wonderful condition considering her age. I found her size to be perfect- not too far to get anywhere on the ship. We never had a problem getting an elevator, actually a problem on other ships we have sailed on. We found the ...

We've been to Alaska many times and we wanted our daughter and her family to see the beauty of the land that we keep going back to see. It's so peaceful with breathtaking scenery in all directions. There are many areas of pristine, untouched nature and wildlife abound everywhere. Embarkation and Disembarkation were the best of all the cruises we've been on. The crew couldn't do enough to make ...

We where searching for a cruise line that we would enjoy the ship, destinations, food and the overall feel of the experience.the staff was very friendly. The ultimate ship tour and the chefs table where great add ons to the trip to alaska. The staff in share, crown grill, and the salty dog gastro pub. Made for so wonderful nights. Alaska took our breathe away from the morning we approached ...

They main thing I want to point out is that this ship is dated and it mostly shows in the cabins. The buffet food was marginal, but hey, there is only so much you can do with the buffet food. Main dining was hit or miss, but mostly hit - especially the desserts. The Curtis Stone Share was a neat experience, but could have been better if staff didn't keep mixing up our dishes. The ...

Advice from my travel agent. Way to many musicals, the buffets were not very good, same things every day, go into a speciality restaurant, and they charged an extra 29 dollars to get basically something that you could get for less money at a steak house. Next night go into a regular restaurant and they had almost the same things on the menu that you paid an extra few of twenty nine dollars for. ...

Always wanted to see Alaska. Service was top notch. Food was great everywhere except the specialty steakhouse. Entertainment was great. Did the helicopter ride to mendenhahl glacier. Once in a lifetime experience. White pass train trip was so entertaining. Hannah, our tour guide was the best. The new port valet service was a life-saver. We had all day in Seattle on our return. Our bags were ...

Overall, it was a nice cruise. Phone reps were fairly knowledgeable and helpful. Had a couple of issues that needed to be resolved and unfortunately, management fell short. The two that I spoke to were rude and very short with me, so be aware, problems will NOT be resolved. You will leave feeling very unimportant. The cruise itself was very nice. The dinners were wonderful. Got to try many ...

A "bucket list" trip and the Ruby Princess is a great way to experience Alaska

We chose Alaska as the destination for our 30th wedding anniversary and we chose the Ruby Princess because we had read good reviews of the ship. We booked 9 months in advance and our Princess vacation planner (Leticia Woolum) was terrific at walking us through all the options. We took our adult daughters with us (ages 22 and 20) and booked adjacent rooms where the balconies connected once the ...

This was our first Cruise. We learnt a lot from it! We are going on the Ruby Princess again in January, so it did us good to get familiar with it. We will be on a different floor than this time, in January, but things will be have the same eating places. The good things about the room we were in was it was an Ocean View. We could see the waves hitting the ship when waters we rough. Our ...
