The staff are wonderful and so helpful, but the ship is old. I’ve cruised on the Grand numerous times. The elevators were alway having problems. Not being able to take the stairs was always an inconvenience and having to wait.
The ladies restrooms always had at least one stall that was “under maintenance” and sometimes two out of the three were not working.

We've taken this cruise a number of times specifically because San Francisco is the point of departure. We don't need to fly, worry about parking the car, or leaving our house at the crack of dawn. We also love the Mexican Riviera. Embarkation and Disembarkation were a snap. The Grand lived up to her name! Great staff and amazing service! The wife and I vacationed alone and enjoyed our times on deck getting street tacos and then working them off in the gym! My friends live in SF and they choose it. I had to fly from So. CA up there.
Our group saw about 12 very large turtles near the shore when we were in Cabo San Lucas.
I never saw that many big turtles before. Very nice and interesting to see.
I will wait a few years before going on another cruise. Maybe go on a newer ship.

Organized embarkation. Had lunch at buffet and luggage was waiting in room.
