Alaska was beautiful. As far as the cruise part of it, the food was not impressive at all. The flavor was just not there. Many items were not labeled. For people with food allergies or being vegetarian, that can be a problem. The things that were supposed to be in my parents stateroom were not provided ( toilet riser and hand held shower nozzle) The entertainment was just ok. The entertainment and ...
This was our 12th cruise on Princess. We were on the Royal Princess, a beautiful ship. We were booked in a mini-suite, mid-ship deck 10. Great location, close to everything. From the time we arrived at the pier we were onboard in about 40 minutes. There was some confusion about what to do with luggage but it was resolved and everyone was on there way to the ship.
We were onboard early but ...
Between COVID and my husband's worsening disability it had been 3 years since we cruised. We are Elite Princess cruisers and really missed our time on the seas. We purchased an electric scooter for my DH and off we went.
Embarkation in Ft. Lauderdale was a breeze. By noon we had dropped off our carry on luggage and were enjoying lunch in the Reserve area in the Island Dining Room. ...
My wife & I have 32 Princess Cruises over the years. We had about 5 enjoyable trips on this ship when it was new in the early 2004-2006 years. The ship now has a/c that struggles to cool even modestly. Palm dining room was so overly warm gentlemen were removing their jackets. Only the theatre was comfortable.
1. Shows, except for final night "Bravo" (which was superb) were a giant snooze, ...
We have been on Princess Cruise previously in 2013 (Sapphire Princess) and really enjoyed our cruise great food and amenities , we felt cared for with nice communal areas and good restaurants so felt confident that it would be of a similar standard for an enjoyable cruise. What a let down!
On a positive embarkation was easy and staff were very helpful.
I agree with previous review on this ...
We took this cruise because it had a full transit of the Panama Canal. This was the last cruise with this itinerary for the season. A Panama Canal transit had been on our bucket list for a long time, but it has taken many years for a cruise with a schedule that made it doable considering our work schedules. We have cruised with many lines and this was our first (and only) cruise with Princess. ...
We chose this cruise because it was a complete transit of the Panama Canal. The cruise had 5 stops plus a full day transiting the canal. Stops were Puerto Vallarta and Huatulco, Mexico; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Panama City, Panama; and Cartagena, Columbia.
We booked local tours through Travel Advisor for all ports but Puntarenas which we booked through Princess. The Princess tour in ...
Reason for Cruise: I want to explore United Kingdom. This was my first every trip visiting this region.
Ports: This cruise took me to so many interesting cities. Sometimes you have to take a shuttle or train $10-$15 extra or $100 Princess Bus to the city. I had to pay an extra $100 for Princess to take me to Paris from Normandy Port. This is not just Princess but many cruise companies do this. ...
Princess has really gone downhill, which is a view shared by at least two senior members of staff onboard. Honestly, you couldn't pay me any sum of money to go on another princess cruise. Quick overview: my next few paragraphs are issues around food safety. After that it's what i wish i'd have known before i booked.
Food safety
My main issue is around food safety. If you have any dietary ...
Was really disappointed with this cruise. Was recommended by sister who went on a princess cruise to Alaska years ago and the experience was wonderful. This time from arrival to the ship to the disembarking was a nightmare!! No one seemed to know what was going on. Was late leaving the port in Seattle which cut into the time spent at other ports and excursions. Never left the ship in Victoria ...
