This is a wonderful cruise if you want to see New England & Canada. Each port is unique, from small towns, to big cities, to a sailing / elite community.
Princess Emerald is similar to many other Princess cruise ships. Average food, decor, service, and activities. The focus of this cruise should be on the ports. There is only one day at sea (the last day when the ship return to NYC from ...
Having been away from Alaska since 2018, we were excited to travel north aboard CROWN princess for an 11-night adventure. We last sailed on CROWN to the Caribbean in 2018. We recall that cruise event as having the best food/service in all the Princess fleet we had ever experienced. Not to be the situation this time.
EMBARKATION: Went well. Well organized at Canada Place, Vancouver. The ...
We thoroughly enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Crown Princess. The Crown has a promenade deck which allows you to walk around the whole ship. The Crown Princess is an older ship but well maintained and clean. Our stateroom was a Vista Suite aft on the Dolphin deck. The food was amazing. We ate every night in the Reserve Collection dining Room. I highly recommend it - never having to wait ...
We are loyal Princess Cruise passengers, and this was our tenth cruise with Princess, first trip on the Crown Princess. While Alaska was absolutely amazing, we were really disappointed with the experience on the ship. The food was probably our number one issue, with very few choices on the boat and a very lackluster buffet. The variety wasn't there, and they often put out stale and old items. One ...
I was so excited to finally experience my first Princess cruise, on this Canada & New England sailing on the Emerald Princess 9th - 16th September 2023. I was just left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied for this experience.
I am a travel agent, I’ve been in the industry for almost 20 years, I’m well travelled, well educated & have cruised many times with your far superior competitors.
I ...
Picked this cruise as a B2B to the Vancouver-Sydney relocation cruise. The weather for 14 days was bleak, but doing a return trip we managed to see everything we wanted, though we missed Hubbard Glacier and the first Ketchikan stop. The internet worked well and we had no problems with the Medallion app. Would have spent more time in the casino except the smoke smell was terrible, seeping out ...
We choose this cruise because it travelled to places in Canada we have never been..... and still haven't been to. We did encounter the pre bits of Hurricane Lee and the Captain made the decision to skip Charlestown, PEI, Halifax, NS and Bar Harbor, MN and shelter for 3 days in Boston. So we missed over 60% of our cruise and spent 3 calm days in Boston for a Hurricane that never came... beyond ...
We had FCC about to expire; therefore, chose to take this cruise. Our obstructed view cabin (category OV) was not obstructed at all. What a nice surprise!
The current crew is amazing and I give them 5-stars. We haven’t met one single crew member not trying to please passengers.
The ship is nearly full; therefore, it’s clear there are some staff shortages. I fault Princess corporate for ...
The ship's decor, stateroom and cabin attendant was quite reasonable. Entertainment was some good, some bad.
Not reasonable were two things, food and post cruise medical claim service.
FOOD: Admittedly, companion and I ate at standard restaurants to test what we already paid for. With few exceptions, breakfast through dinner, the food was far below mediocre. Dry, off-tasting scrambled ...
I was given a balcony cabin through the casino. I upgraded at booking to a mini suite and then through the move up offers, to a reserve class mini. The cabin was spacious with a nice bathroom. The shower was terrific and hot as was the sink ( NO cold water at all). No bar soap and I bring my own shampoo etc. Towels were in short supply. Our steward often waited for an hour in the hall until they ...
