Great value for money .majority of pessengers ware 50+so it was very quite. Food quality and selection was very good. Shows and bars were well stocked with variety of menu. The entire process of embankment and disembarked process was amazingly efficient. Airport transportation is expensive compared to Uber/Lyft.Avoid that at any cost. Not only it’s expensive but wait time at airport is ...

The Panama Canal and a visit to South America and Some Island Countries

We wanted to experience the locks at the Panama Canal,. and to see a part of the world we had never visited. We booked a mini-suite for the first time, and we really enjoyed having the extra space. We had four sea days, so we were in the room more often than on other cruises. We had Club Dining on this cruise, and were very pleased with the service. It was nice to have the same efficient ...

We wanted the experience of the Panama Canal and also the longer cruise time. We were not disappointed at all. I had read some reviews of this ship that were far from favorable so I was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this ship. It is cozy and I loved the enclosed pool area with it's relaxing padded loungers and "Zen" type quiet music. Perfect for reading and napping. The pool ...

Highlights and Disappointments of the Panama Canal Trip

We just returned from our 10 night Panama Canal cruise on the Island Pacific. Overall, we give the cruise a 4 star rating since 3.5 is not available. First, and most importantly, this itinerary and time of year will not give you a ship full of energy. The average age of our fellow passengers was about 75. There were many canes and walkers and for the most part, the public areas of the ship ...

ports of call were very a good variety and accommodating - food service was great and well presented. Rusty was a great server in the Explorers Lounge for daily beverages. there should always be transportation from ship to shore installations for handicapped and elderly embarkation and disembarkation was very efficient and smooth. the anytime dinning was easily adjustable and worked well. ...

Excellent in every way! Boarding was fast and efficient; luggage delivered quickly; room steward ("D" as he wanted to be called) was nearby to greet us and explain what he was going to provide and asked if we had any special request. Fantastic service. Cruise was a combination of celebrations my wife and I usually celebrate (birthdays, anniversary) as we do not do anything special during the ...

We went on this cruise because it was a good value. 29 days with prepaid gratuities and $1000 onboard credit in a balcony for around $4000 each. It sailed from Barcelona to Los Angeles (home) through the Panama Canal (our first time). The ship was refurbished in April. We had not been on this ship before but some people said it was all new inside. The crew was great. Very friendly and they did ...

We definitely enjoyed our cruise on the Emerald and we will be returning for the February cruise in the Pacific. Several of the shore tours were outstanding. I’m especially referring to the tours on Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Ponta Delgada in the Azores. Since we have visited these islands on previous cruises we know there are several excellent tours from which to select. Cartagena and Malaga ...

Excellent cruise. The boarding and disembarking process was very organized and smooth. The food at the sit down restaurant is the best we’ve ever had on any cruise. It is definitely the best food we’ve ever had on a cruise. The Market Place buffet was also excellent. The Inside cabin was large and very well kept by the cabin steward. The captain spoke to the passengers on a daily basis from the ...

The Panama Canal Experience on the Coral Princess

We choose this cruise for the experience of sailing through the Panama Canal. We actually had 2 days in the Canal with the first day experiencing going through the locks and the second day a nature sightseeing excursion that gave us the chance to see the canal on the water while also finding several varieties of monkeys, birds and a croc. Having white faced monkeys in the wild taking banana ...
