Everything except for the Medallion app and wifi was great!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Majestic Princess

Ship is beautiful, staff is very friendly, entertainment and food was great. Only problem was that now you need to use the medallion app for pretty much everything and half of the functions did not work! Everyone on the ship was very frustrated. The wifi speed is a joke, I consistently measured download speeds of 0.25 MBPS and upload of 0.14 MBPS on my speedtest app, way too slow to do much of ...

My sister and I had sailed 2 Princess cruises and before she passed I promised to take her daughter on a cruise. Since it was my niece's first cruise she had on compass to judge the trip on and she has a wonderful time. I, however, had sailed with Princess twice before and was able to compare this trip to past ones. The food on this trip was, for the most part, bland at best, with the exception of ...

I have always had great experiences on my previous Princess cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. This cruise was excellent in many ways. The entertainment was top notch. The food was delicious and such a great variety of choices. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. That's all the positives points of this particular cruise. There were quite a few negatives though. I've never had to wait sooo ...

three hour line just to check in and rocky seas...

I choose this cruise because it went out of San Francisco, and was easy for me to access. It started horrifically. The Majestic Princess was in port at the regular terminal. So, our California coastal cruise was out of Pier 37, a smaller building. I arrived on a chartered bus from Sonoma County, and the bus driver was told to have us get off the bus and get in line. He was able ...

5 day California Coast

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

This cruise was a makeup cruise from the beginning of the pandemic, and we had a cruise credit to use. My daughter was traveling with me, and she hadn't been to California, so we chose this cruise. Embarkation took forever. We were in line for 2.5 hours. The ship was late disembarking the prior cruise ( we think) so it delayed us getting on. Once on board, I have nothing but great things to say. ...

Relaxing and enjoyable but Princess needs to fix a few things.

Great way to relax but Princess needs to fix a few things. Not up to snuff yet post pandemic. Short way to get away and relax, but the embarkation process was a disaster. We had to stand in line three hours since trip not ready and it took four hours after arrival before getting to room. Cruise left almost 3 hours late. My wife has some health issues and had to stand 3 hours outside ...

Not a Good Start

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

We definitely got off on the wrong foot. When we arrived for departure the port was changed (Princess did send a notification, but I skimmed through it thinking it was just a copy of our bill) and we had to walk 3/4 of a mile from pier 19 to pier 39 to stand in line for 1.5 hrs in the freezing wind. We paid additionally for early boarding, but that went out the window when we had to stand in line ...

Wonderful cruise with a few issues

We had a really nice cruise on the Ruby starting with the embarkation, which was a disaster. We choose not to let one bad experience ruin our cruise, though so we recovered and put that all in the rear view mirror as quickly as possible once we were onboard. There were some remaining issues which I think were related to check in but, they didn't detract much from our experience onboard. ...

Our First and Last Time on Princess – Terrible RUBY 4/11 Sailing out of SF

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

Our background: We usually sail Celebrity but decided to try Princess for the first time since we could embark SF and did not need to fly. Summary: we won't be back on Princess. The Good: Sabatini – Beautiful view of Golden Gate Bridge aft deck 16 as we enjoyed our meal at a window table as the ship sailed out of SF bay. Great waiter and non-crowded venue, as compared to the cluster-f* ...

The following review of the newest ship in the Princess line was posted on April 25, 2022 following a cruise of 7-days from April 10, 2022 to April 17, 2022. I am not employed by any cruise line and present my observations based upon a love of cruising which stared in the early 80's. The comments made herein are solely my own and are made with an effort to improve the enjoyment of cruising. ...
