Princess Spiraling Down the Drain

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Emerald Princess

Very sorry to say after many Princess cruises we have seen the quality deteriorate the last couple years. This recent cruise on Emerald was the icing on the cake and will be our last with them. The food in the MDR has become competitive with the buffet which you long time cruisers know is as bad as it gets. As great as the staff was they couldn't hide the poor food quality and tried to shove as ...

We choose this cruise to see the whales again and we really had a great experience with the whales. We also had never been to Honolulu, Hilo or Kauia. We enjoyed the tour of the Memorial and Mighty Mo. Not so crazy about Hilo - my suggestion would be to book the tour that goes to the National Park. We waited too long to book and tour was full. The tour of Kauai was crazy. Our guide talked ...

Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Ruby Princess

I chose this because it was a ten day cruise which went to some off the beaten track Ports. The food was sub-par and the ships facilities were in need of repair. None of the Hot Tubs on the ship were working properly and nothing was done to repair them. The food in the Michaelangelo Dining room was mediocre and the Crown Steak House was disappointing. The activities on sea days on the ship ...

First window of opportunity to travel with girlfriend since our husbands passed away. Wanted warm weather (UK winter) and hadn't been to Mexican coast for many years. Ship same as when on it before, although refurbed recently. Quite familiar and satisfied with layout. Comfy style, not over brashy, easy to get about. Pleasing atrium/cafe area for performances and meeting ...

I enjoyed the 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera the year before and wanted to take the Princess cruise that visited La Paz & Loreto-both were great and a new experience. Would visit again-very clean and the people were very friendly. The beds are super! The service aboard was great. Our waiters, Segundo & Nickolai were friendly, fun and the service was outstanding. Embarkation was the best ...

Great ten-day "local" cruise

We just got back from Ruby Princess's ten day Los Angeles to Los Angeles cruise of the "Mexican Riviera." For locals in Southern California, this itinerary is hard to beat for a quick, inexpensive, relaxing getaway vacation. Stops are: 2-days in Cabo San Lucas; a day each in La Paz, Loreto, and Puerto Vallarta. Add in two at-sea days to get there, an at-sea day to get to P.V., and two more ...

First day of travel is always hectic, but next day it settles. You can tell some staff gets overwhelmed with passengers. Very understandable, yet it is hard to always empathise as you are there to relax and not feel some else's tension. Over all had a great time. It is all about who you are with and what you want out of the experience. Food was not the best, but hey, it was an awesome ...

A Great Cruise But It Could Have Been Better

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Ruby Princess

My wife and I have sailed this itinerary twice before this cruise. It is our favorite because of the port stop of Loreto. A small, beautiful and fun town. The town entertains ship folks in the central plaza with singers and dancers. A little cantina next to the plaza has the best carne-asada nachos we have ever had. The margaritas are good also! We embarked on 18 Feb 2019 which is a couple of ...

Lovely except for the weather in Los Angeles, to Mexico and 2 ports when there.

To get away from winter. My wish was to have warm weather, freedom from cooking, and other household chores. To have time and areas to relax and read and enjoy the ports and sea days. The weather made that difficult as the ship was usually rocking somewhat..walking was similar to being unbalanced. In ports the excursion in Mazatlan was mediocre and in Cabo changed from original dure to weather ...

the Princess Cruise line offers a good value for the price. We like cruising in the fact we have taken over 10 cruises. The up side to the princess line that they offer cruise from the LA port which we can drive to no flying. Princess cabins are nice well laid out and the balcony is nice and big.. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. A big factor is that staff is not constantly ...
