Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Royal Princess

The Royal is a beautiful ship and now that it is going out of LA, I am hoping to be able to go more often. First of all, there were 2 ships in port that day which made the traffic difficult. It took over 45 minutes to park. I thought Medallion would make check in easier, but really, it didn't make any difference. After we checked in we waited another half hour to board the ship. All in all, ...

Best Vacation Experience Ever

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Royal Princess

I chose a Princess cruise because of how highly recommended Princess was by many friends. I knew I did not want to add the time or price of flights to or from another port, so I chose a round trip from my local Los Angeles port. The destination was really not much of a factor in my selection. I was so impressed with the service all over the ship. I've never experienced service like this ...

Mixed But Generally Positive Experience

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Royal Princess

The Good: Alfredo's Pizzeria - best food on the ship (and complimentary!) Afternoon Tea - we went every day and it was always the highlight. Loved watching the NFL games on the big screen. Exceptional steward/stateroom service (shoutout to Rashid!) Crew was friendly and attentive, particularly in food service. The Medallions are pretty slick. Good variety of ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose this cruise as seeing the Canal was on our bucket list and we liked leaving and returning to the pacific Coast as we hate long flights. Getting into the terminal was a long process as another ship was also boarding-there should be 2 distinct lines for each ship and terminal, but after we were dropped off our luggage was quickly taken and we proceeded very seamless through the boarding ...

Excellent Getaway

It promised a short getaway and definitely lived up to it ! We were able to relax in the Spa’s Enclave. The pool there is so therapeutic, the steam and sauna rooms are a must. Then top it off by lying on the warm stone bed. I also benefited from the seaweed detox treatment and massage. For anyone who needs to rejuvenate this is the place to be. Fasted embarkation and disembarkation ever!! It ...

Absolutely Wonderful And Worth The Money!!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Regal Princess

The ship was absolutely beautiful and very elegant, not to mention, huge and well maintained! Everything you need is conveniently found on the ship; variety of shops, restaurants and other eateries, casino, theater, spa, pools/jacuzzis, bars, cafes with specialty coffee, Internet cafe, gym, The Sanctuary, the private adult only pool area, plenty of seating throughout the entire ship on nearly ...

Not one of Princess Cruises' better ships

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

Chose this ship due to the South Pacific itinerary and based on a previous cruise with Princess (Regal Princess). In comparing the two ships, I was disappointed In the Ruby Princess. The entertainment was definitely not the same caliber as with the Regal in terms of variety or quality. The Horizon buffet court had much less selection and was poorly staffed. Often multiple serving sections were ...

Boring

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

Staff were fantastic but this cruise was 95% retirees over the age of 70. The activities were designed to entertain the same age bracket. We are late 40s and found the activities boring and the demographics were way too old. Other than great pools, there was nothing to entertain our age bracket. The internet was terrible, too slow and lots of drop outs. The room service was great, although no ...

Princess needs an overhaul

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

After ten previous Princess cruises on several ships, I've about decided I need to take a break and try another line for a while. The allure of Princess has faded some, though it's hard to switch after becoming an "elite" customer. Food options are much reduced; menus are stale and repetitive; prices continue to escalate for "smaller" items; and the quality of the entertainment is not what it ...

Island Princess - Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Island Princess

User Avatar

I have sailed with Princess many, many times and am at the highest level on loyalty classification. I have been spoiled by my last sailings on the Royal and Regal for my last three times. We chose the Panama Canal transit since we haven't done that recently and was going to stop in ports that we have been before. I knew that the Island Princess is much smaller that Royal or Regal, but was ...
