Fantastic Crew

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Royal Princess

This was our fifteenth cruise (my husband and myself) . We cruise with Royal Caribbean or Princess. We just wanted to go back to the Mexican Riviera as we haven't been in over twenty years. We also wanted to see the Royal Princess and experience a medallion cruise. It was also a birthday celebration for me even though my actual birthday was the day of disembarkation. We live 90 miles outside of ...

My wife and I enjoyed this cruise. No pressure to purchase extras, but it had a lot to offer if interested. Great staff and although a fairly large ship it never felt overwhelming or in-personable. The Crown Grill was fantastic. The main dinning room was nice but the food was mediocre. However the bars, particularly Vines Wine Bar were fantastic. Very good entertainment, including movies under the ...

Do not select the Royal Princess for a gambling cruise

We selected this cruise for one reason only - to participate in the Monopoly slot tournament ($200K prizes, $100K top prize). We had anticipated at least an average experience in the casino. We are gamblers, along with the other 400 participants in this invitation-only event. The experience onboard and in the casino was average, at best. (0) In the end, we could not wait to disembark back at ...

14th cruise with princess but first time on the Royal. Kudos to bar staff members Joanne and Svetlana at the wheelhouse and crooners respectively. They did an outstanding job and were very friendly. Also their male colleagues at the same bars were equally good – just can’t remember their names! Wait staff in the main dining room (Allegro 2nd seating) did a great job. Service was prompt and ...

price and convenience, local cruise. Liked princess before and like mostly princess this time, but they need to get the bugs out of the medallion, worked great to get on board. Luggage was assume they where at room by time we got on board and went straight to room. MEDALLION worked part of time, getting on board was great but then lots of people didn't use it, so in the future when everyone uses ...

We have sailed with Princess many times, and since we live in the San Francisco Bay area, have always gone out of San Francisco on the Grand Princess. This time we got a great price on a Mexico cruise out of L.A., on the Royal Princess. We wanted to try one of Princess's newer ships and were not disappointed. Everything on the Royal Princess was spic and span, and it looked like the ship was ...

Just an average cruise, nothing special, nothing much.

We enjoyed our week on the Royal Princess, but all in all it was nothing special. The food in the main dining rooms was generally good, but some nights the selection was less than inspiring. The buffet offered a wide variety of choices, usually tasty. As always, the ship's pastries were better to look at than to eat. Dinner in the Crown Grill was very good, and worth the upcharge; the same ...

We took this cruise as a winter getaway, and it served its purpose. positives: - we feel there's been an improvement in the quality of the entertainment, both in small venues and in the Princess Theatre (compared to previous Princess cruises) -we appreciated the full service sit-down pizzeria on board (no charge) -International cafe is a great place for a light meal or ...

7-day Pacific Coastal cruise that seemed overcrowded

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Royal Princess

We went on a 7-day Pacific Coastal cruise on the Royal Princess ship on November 9, 2019. It was round-trip from Los Angeles, CA with port stops in San Francisco, Monterey, San Diego, and Ensenada, Mexico. The entire sailing was very smooth, the waters were generally calm during the entire 7-day cruise. The food in the anytime dining room Sabatini and the buffet food court Horizons tasted ...

Medallion Class Review

I totally agree with "Overcrowding" situation described by another reviewer. They put over 5000 people on the ship (passengers and crew) but the elevators were the same size and number as on the 2000 passenger ships we've been on. But my REAL disappointment was with the Medallion thingie. It was announced two years ago and has been in "sea trials" for almost a year. I think we were on an ...
