We've been on this cruise many times. So all was as expected. There are many sea days filled with activities or just relaxing. Loved the lectures about Hawaii...culture/history/natural wonders...what to see and food. Loved the hula and ukulele lessons, and all the Hawaiian crafts and music. Food was as always consistently good. Effy was giving out charms if you attended some of their workshops. ...
OK, the 10th time we’ve done this cruise and it was great!!! We loved every minute of it. Great crew, great entertainment! Good food, fun activities! I even learned how to do quilling cards!!! We loved the length of stay on Oahu. Wish there was more time on the other islands of Hawai’i, Kauai and Maui but we still were able to enjoy all of them. For some reason this crew was really ...
We flew from London and stayed 2 nights pre-cruise in San Francisco.
As Elite members check in was quick and easy and we were on board within 20 minutes.
The outside of the ship was rusty in places but inside the ship was fantastic.
Our balcony cabin was lovely but had no footrest on the balcony or a cabin kettle. Our cabin steward got us a footrest but couldn't get a kettle.
Our Elite ...
We love Princess and enjoyed the 15 day Hawaii cruise. The ports were amazing and our room steward DeDe was outstanding. We have 2 more Princess Cruises planned. The new TV service is amazing. It was nice to have a relaxing cruise with 10 Sea Days. We enjoyed just doing things we wanted to do and not feel rushed. We did Princess Excursions and enjoyed the winery visit in Mexico. We met nice ...
Beginning at SF was our reason for taking this cruise. We also wanted to see Hawaii again. Third, we liked the length of the cruise: 15. We three entered the ship expecting all things would be excellent; we had positive attitudes and, sure enough, the vacation was excellent.
We found many things to do given there were 15 days and nights to do them. My son, the artist in the family, spent ...
This is our second cruise, as we did Alaska through Holland-America last year and wanted to get a taste of the Hawaiian islands. Princess offered this 15-day cruise from San Francisco to Hawaii and back. We have friends who have traveled many times with Princess and haven't complained.
But our own experience was not as enjoyable. We had issues with dining, with shore excursions, with ...
From stepping on the Grand Princess I felt privleged by the crew! There wee so many crew members willing to asist when you may look lost (hehe).
The public areas were nicely appointed in the fabrics used and the decor of each lounge.
I was impressed that all the bars had their own menus different form others so I enjoyed trying each and especially the drinks made from Rob Floyd for ...
Great trip great crew but the boat is getting a little bit dated. My parents pick this cruise as they like to sail out of San Francisco. It was a family trip you’re a little concerned that there would be a lot of sea days however there was plenty to do on the ship. The crew was fantastic except for the cruise director Kevin he was just OK. They had a new game called high seas heist which was fun ...
15 day Grand Princess Hawaiian cruise. It was our first cruise on Princess and we had a wonderful time! The ship is old and shows signs of wear everywhere and the public restrooms were usually broken. The ship had a library and board games. Did not go to the spa. The food was very good and the service was fantastic! We had delicious dinners at the speciality restaurant, Sabatinos. Fun dining ...
Chose this ship due to the South Pacific itinerary and based on a previous cruise with Princess (Regal Princess). In comparing the two ships, I was disappointed In the Ruby Princess. The entertainment was definitely not the same caliber as with the Regal in terms of variety or quality. The Horizon buffet court had much less selection and was poorly staffed. Often multiple serving sections were ...
