Just not that good

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We have cruised on the Crown Princess many times, the last one was January 2018 and we were always very satisfied with it. This ship although the sister ship left a lot to be desired. It definitely needs an update, but they were a lot of things that can be done immediately. The food was not good and always cold, hot cereal was cold as was the "hot" milk next to it. Some of the heat lamps were ...

The Caribbean Princess is a beautiful ship. There are some spots that needed maintenance, but never interfered with our good time. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the ship. We were in Cabin C743, very aft and starboard. Great balcony, could actually see a bit of the wake if you looked back. Embarkation was a bit crazy as they are getting ready for the Ocean Medallion ...

This was a birthday cruise and I traveled with a good friend. I've traveled on many cruise lines including Carnival, Costa, Celebrity,Holland America, MSN, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean. This was first cruise on Princess, I was not impressed. The ship is nice, not beautiful. Shops had a limited selection of merchandise and no t-shirts which was surprising. Day time activities were ...

We booked this cruise after another cruise fell through due to overbooking about one month before embarkation. The price was right, as were the ports of call (4 stops in the Caribbean). The Good: - The location of our staterooms was very convenient as we booked guaranteed staterooms - As always, the stateroom attendent was awesome and helpful - AA lost our luggage and the stateroom ...

Overall, this was a good beach cruise with stops at Princess Cays, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten, all of which have nice beaches with good access. Embarkation/disembarkation: These were the easiest I have ever experienced! Port Everglades and Princess Cruises have this routine down. Ship: Caribbean Princess was recently upgraded, but some areas are already showing gentle wear. Fabrics in high ...

Princess is aging.

This was a first Princess cruise. It was typical Western Caribbean and nothing unusual about the ports. The best thing about this cruise were the staff. There was not a staff member who couldn't or wouldn't answer a question. They were always there for you and always wearing a smile. This included waiters, engineers, cabin attendants, everyone. The cabin was pleasant enough but not sure ...

Nice cruise but didn't meet expectations

My family chose this cruise due to the itinerary (we'd never been to Belize or Honduras prior) and we'd never cruised Princess (we've sailed Royal Caribbean 5 times, Carnival 5 times, Celebrity 1 time). Embarkation was a breeze! We were dropped off by our hotel shuttle right at the curb where our bags were retrieved quickly by porters. We then went through security and then to check-in. ...

Apologies for the long review. It is hard for me to cut back on detail. We were four girls traveling, three from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale and one from Atlanta the day prior. We had two cabins, a mini-suite D619 which had three and a Caribe Balcony C731 for me. We flew from LA and stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Cruise and Airport Hotel. This hotel has an airport shuttle included ...

We chose this trip because we had never been to Belize or Roatan and were heading to the US Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands after the cruise, so it worked out well. We felt after the cruise, however, that maybe we were people who needed to go back to a smaller ship. Maybe it is that we're getting older or maybe it's that we live somewhere where things are not so crowded or maybe ...

Very middle of the road experience

Embarkation and Disembarkation went very smoothly. Not sure if the fact that we arrive late and depart early had anything to do with that, but can't complain about either process. Ship overall was in good shape. I had not been on a ship this small before, so was not sure what to expect. You can tell its not a "new" ship even though there was a refurb completed last year -- I liked the fact ...
