Excellent service, huge buffet that didn't seem crowded despite almost 4,000 people on board. The cruise director, Matt O, was the best I've ever had on a cruise. He was funny, energetic, friendly and just overall awesome! He made the cruise. Makes me want to do some research when we're ready for another cruise, to see what ship he'll be on....he was that good. The band, Static, was great. ...
We actually were on the ship for 28 days starting Jan. 26th. so we were able to see the changes in entertainment over the 3 cruises.
Technical summary:
Let me start with the Medallion wifi, my profile/email to this day still fails for Ocean apps. This only hinders specialized services like 7/24 gambling so I can not comment. It was a learning experience to access wifi and queues at the ...
This 14 day cruise cover the southern caribbean . It has a very good itinary the included St Thomas, Aruba, St Kitts, Barbados, antigua. The only drawback was that the ship did not stay long enough in most of these locations. But we enjoyed visting these places especially the nice beaches. We sailed the same ship few months ago and it was great. This time we noticed a significant deterioration in ...
Just off the Coral in December, we cruised the Caribbean on the Royal in January.
Overall it was another nice cruise. As always the staff is very friendly and pleasant. We’ve never had a problem with staff in the six cruises we’ve done.
We’ve been on the Royal previously as well as the Regal. The Royal is starting to show some wear now. The hull areas are showing rust and can tell the ...
We chose this cruise because of the destination. The ship was one of the medium size princess ships and was just a good size that you still had heaps to do, but not to big that it was in-personal. The ship on the outside looked like most princess ships, but on the inside it was well maintained, the only drawback was that many of the laundries had broken washing machines and thus it was hard to ...
Embarkation went very smoothly. For the first time, we were assigned a time to come by floor. Our time was 2:30 pm. Rather late, but it worked for us and made embarkation very quick. Princess provides a nice experience with a few exceptions. This was our first time on the class of ship that includes the Royal. Larger and newer than the Crown or Emerald. We expected more from entertainment ...
We are Platinum cruisers on Princess and chose this trip because of the usual quality we expect on Princess. However this cruise was somewhat a disappointment. Food quality was below the usual standard and the food selections in the dining room not as expected. The ship is a little older and the cabins have a slight worn look. The beds are too soft and should be replaced. The service was very good. ...
We chose this cruise primarily for the destinations and tho we've never sailed on Crown we have sailed Ruby and Carribean in this class and prefer this class of ship over the newer designs. The ports did not disappoint us...We arrived and left on time with a minor glitch on Turks and Caicos which being on Super Bowl day did not affect us since our plan was to stay aboard anyways. The food was good ...
Wanted something nice and elegant and without a lot of children. I'm not anti kid I have five grandchildren but when I am on vacation I would like quiet time. Food was excellent. We had a mini-suite. Very nice in size. We used our balcony a lot. If I had a complaint it would be that there wasn't a lot of entertainment around the pool area going on. that's not much of a gripe. Loved playing bingo ...
Embarkation was the easiest, most enjoyable of any cruise I have taken. The Medallion program added many benefits like ease of finding travel companions, Finding way around ship and hands free access to cabin.
The cabin was small but well organized.
The traditional dining was great. I did try the " pay extra" dining, but wouldn't again simply because including dining was at least as good, ...
