Great Itinerary!! Internet was awful.

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

The internet was awful. We need the internet to be able to log into our business, iMessage, and call over IP. The service was so poor that we weren't able to connect to our business and the messaging quit working after a few days. We sailed on this ship a few years ago and didn't have this problem. We've also been on many other ships on several cruise lines and not had this problem. The ...

A Brief Exposure to the British Isles

We chose this cruise for the destinations. However, we barely had time to experience the larger ports. We missed Dublin entirely, because bad weather curtailed the tender operations. There were only a few hours in Edinburgh. It would be better to skip some of the smaller ports entirely (Saint Peter Port, and Kirkwall), and instead, spend two days in the larger destinations. There were many ...

We decided to try a uk cruise due to the covid issue, and to see parts of UK not visited before, but it turned into a massive disappointment We arrived and this was a positive ,being a platium member we went through embarkation very quicky and on the ship within a hour although rooms were not going to be ready till about 1 oclock, which was about right room was B732 inside cabin ,clean and tidy ...

Good cruise on a uncrowded ship

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

Embarkation day was a mess (one hour standing in the sun and one hour in a packed room) but once we were onboard everything went smoothy for the 10 days except for MedallionNet. Bandwidth was good but there were times were a device would lose it's internet connection but you could reconnect. The issue with that is the Medallion app does not give you a clue as to which member of your group will get ...

We chose this ship because it left from San Francisco which worked in well with our trip to the US. Embarking was delayed due to a gangplank issue but it was orderly and we waited maybe an hour or so. We didn’t care because we were excited to do a cruise again after 4 years. We enjoyed the food. We ate our evening meals in the dining room and never had to wait to get in, even when we hadn’t ...

Medallion Madness and More

Medallion system was often fun and often difficult to use. Getting it set up I had to call Princess to walk me through. Princess should supply written instructions.I never did figure out how to use the phone app. I chose this cruise to Alaska because it was round trip San Francisco and I'm too lazy to fly to a ship. Food in dining room has improved since our last Princess cruise: more ...

My parents wanted to see Alaska and I love ocean cruises!! Everything on the boat was great!! The food was great!! Rooms were nice!! The internet connection was so slo at times!! I love going up to horizon court to have a snack late at night!! My parents and my aunt and my uncle zipped lined as one of their excursions!! Getting to the port to get on the ship was easier than flying which we did in ...

What a way to get back to cruising!! Ruby was wonderful. This is our 3rd Princess Cruise and was a similar experience as our previous 2, Grand and Star with one exception, Medallion cruising now. Staff was incredible, so welcoming and so attentive. Daniel and Yitzak in the Michelangelo dining room, Jeffrey and Wilson in the DaVinci Dining room were superb. Food was very good, never had any ...

Planning for cruise was easy, except for paperwork to get for covid (holiday weekend) and Canada immigration, was time communing and never asked for. Weekend covid testing was hard to fine in time frame to get on ship. Once in the cabin luggage delivery was good, cabin steward was very helpful, friendly. Dining experience was good, except for several flying INSECTS around and on my baked potato, ...

Alaska Cruise Experience Gone Bad

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

This particular cruise was NOT a good one. The main issue was the ship was broke (only 1 engine instead of 2), sadly PCL (Princess Cruise Lines) was aware of this over a period of time before the cruise. Even the ship's front desk informed us this was on-going and was not aware if repairs were being done. We had excursions canceled due to the ship was slow getting to ports or not getting to ...
