Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I am a fairly experienced cruiser and have cruised on multiple cruise lines. This was my third Princess Cruise. We selected this cruise as a summer get-a-way and because the price was excellent. We were concerned it was an older ship but the website said it recently had a renovation, so... Reviews tend to be quite subjective as to food and activity likes and dislikes. I have therefore, ...

Princess is always great, but an excursion...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

My husband and I prefer cruising on Princess to other lines, not because others aren't also fine. We don't need climbing walls, waterslides, etc. We also have some perks because of our Captain's Circle status. Thus, when we were planning a trip to Ireland and wanted to go on a cruise as well, we naturally looked art Princess first. What had been planned as just he and I and his sister ended up ...

We wanted to tour the British Isles and Princess does a good job with this itinerary. Blarney castle was a real dud because the time there was way too short. The Blarney stone is at the top of the castle, there is only one line in and that is all you get to do in 90 minutes. The grounds and Blarney house have so much more to offer as do the Woolen Mills but there is not enough time. Now on ...

Excellent cruise with just a few exceptions

This was our family's BIG vacation, with my wife and I bringing our three adult children along with us, as well - perhaps for the last time as a fully-funded trip. As the first family vacation since COVID started, this was also a big deal for all of us in that we really NEEDED a vacation, as well. We spent four days in London first, renting a flat via VRBO near the Thames. That went, pretty much, ...

Worse Princess Cruise ever

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

We have done multiple cruises with Princess and this one was by far the worse one. Unfriendly crew, poor entertainment, very poor food with the exception of the Crown Grill, internet was 50/50, either it worked or it didn't. Room service was super slow. Never seen any of the top crew members, like the captain or leading officers. SPA was terrible, overpriced but the biggest complaint was the ...

Cruise Critic review of Grand Princess 14 nights back to back cruise 6 July to 20 July 2022 from Vancouver to Alaska return. Background We chose this cruise for one reason only, Princess cancelled our 16 night Sapphire Princess from San Pedro to Hawaii return, 1 week after we made the final payment on the cruise. We had flights booked and paid for to LAX and with 2.5 months before we fly ...

The Medallion is a total failure

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Princess

The only decent dining in the whole ship was the Main Dining area. The buffet has very little variety and poor quality. Drink service was pitiful with massive waitstaff cuts. 20 minutes for a beer in the Casino and not much better elsewhere. Th Medallion app was a failure dropping out on staff frequently and was easier to go to the bar directly and wait for drink. The cocktail list had about 6 ...

Struggling to keep afloat!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Princess

We expected this to be a nice return to cruising based out of Brisbane. We found the boarding process poor. The level of organization was poor and people were herded into a long queue for security checking. So much for social distancing. Our cabin was a suite and we found it quite comfortable. Though getting dated. We had all we wanted here. Our steward 'disappeared' at day 5 so may had ...

Could have been better

Checking in was easy, but security was a nightmare. Stay 1.5 metres apart they say, then they cram people shoulder to shoulder in the security area, which had five security screens fitted and only three in use. Cabin was small but comfortable and not having to go to a muster spot for a long uncomfortable lecture was great, do it on your TV screen. Dining Room was a fiasco, make a booking ...
