Like most people we have cruised with Princess many times and are Elite status which doesn’t appear to make any difference.
We were in a suite C628 which was a good size and in reasonable condition though looking very dated. The balcony had the blue plastic flooring which was loose and curling in the corners making it very dangerous and white paint flakes over the furniture and floor.

We chose the cruise because it was basically the first Australian cruise post pandemic.
It was sailing to all Australian ports so travel insurance was unnecessary and covid risk was minimal.

We loved this ship even though twenty years old because the venues such as the Explorers Lounge and Wheelhouse Bars are not found on the bigger new ships. The Crown Princess has been having mechanical issues all of the Alaska sailing season. Time in port was greatly reduced or eliminated. Princess cruise line is fantastic but I would avoid this ship for the time being.
