Been a while since going on a cruise, first solo cruise in my 67 years and it was better than expected with a bump or two. Panama canal is an amazing feat of large scale engineering.
Food is very good, entertainment was the best I have had in maybe 20 cruises in my life. Singing and dancing isn't my favorite but the production numbers I really enjoyed. Lots of corny events on at sea days, from ...
We just returned from a 10-day Princess Panama Canal cruise. If you are thinking of it, read this and think long and hard.
This was our 3rd cruise with Princess. I did this cruise pre covid with my mother, about 8 years ago. I was so excited to show my husband and grown son all the cool things but much has changed and to me, not for the better, This will be my last trip with Princess.
The ...
If you are considering Princess, I would seriously urge you to reconsider. Since Covid their standards have dropped, smaller meals, cheaper ingredients in meals etc. - probably industry-wide. However other practices amount to scams. My wife and I have sailed Princess for over 20 cruises and are classed Elite with many benefits. Due to their loyalty program we have remained with them, but not ...
We have sailed Princess a few times and like their product. The staff on this ship exceeded our expectations! We had the best bartenders of any cruise, especially Jackie in the Explorer's Lounge, Pablo in the Casino and Mike and John in the Wheelhouse bar. Our Waiters, Donald from the Philippines and Juan from Peru along with their helpers were stellar. These people made this trip spectacular! ...
We've previously cruised on HAL, NCL and Costa with Princess being our 12th cruise each. We chose this Ruby Princess cruise specifically because it departed from the Port of Galveston and visited ports we visited years ago and were curious how they'd changed.
Booking
I booked online directly about 90 days before cruise on Princess site, no agent. It was my first Princess Cruise, my husband’s ...
First time on Princess (over 30 cruises). But it was at the right time, place and price. You were required to do almost all pre cruise on you smart phone App. NO Computer. Getting through the App was hours and hours of frustration. You had to search to find what you had to do before boarding... no list .... NOT user Friendly. On that alone I would not take another Princess Cruise. The ...
We had a great time. Almost everything was exceptional: the food, the service, the entertainment, the ships facilities. This was the first cruise that we splurged on a room with a balcony -- and it was fabulous. We lett the doors open at night and enjoyed the sounds of the waves. The balcony certainly helped make the room feel larger! We had exceptional service in the dining room and ...
It's nice to be a virgin at 69, and this Caribbean cruise did it for me. It met my criteria beautifully:1) few children, 2) almost no lines, 3) 24/7 really fast room service, and 4) leisurely linen service dining with dishes I had no intention of preparing ever. As an added bonus, boarding from Galveston with the Medallion meant less than 15 minutes from being dropped off to sitting comfortably ...
Embarkation in Melbourne was fantastic. We were allocated 1200-1230 boarding slot. Walked in to terminal at 1201 and was onboard within 15 minutes. Cabin was also ready when we boarded. Huge improvement from previous cruise.
Bar service was sometimes a bit slow.
Medallion app worked fairly well but hung a few times. Being able to find shipmates was a good feature.
My Time Dining was easy ...
We were two adults in our 50s with our two adult children in their 20s. We had two interior cabins on different decks.
Really nice trip. Embarkation was smooth. Get your medallion ahead of time; it saves you a lot of time at check in. The ship is classy and clean. The rooms are standard cruise cabins and have all you need. All Princess employees were pleasant and willing to help with any ...
