Disappointing restaurant service

Quality of the ship was very good! Breakfast in the Horizon court was good with a wide choice of fruit, cereals and food. The buffet seating was always too busy and it was difficult to find seating. The two white chefs (a grumpy male and female) making eggs, thought it was a big burden to make hubby two soft eggs every morning, while the Asian chef was most accommodating. Due to our food ...

This was our 10th cruise and first with Princess, after sailing with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, HAL, Cunard, Carnival and Costa. Overall it was the best cruise so far. We were upgraded to a suite which obviously added to the experience, but I think Princess beats Celebrity in every category. Food and entertainment were excellent. Very good selection in buffet and very high quality food in the ...

We arrived in Copenhagen three days before embarking on our cruise and were very glad we did this. We had purchased transfers from Princess, although since we had changed our plans twice, we were told that no one would be there to greet us at the airport. However, to our surprise, a wonderful lady was there to meet us. Thank goodness, because that airport is mega confusing and we wouldn’t have ...

When we cruise I often ask seasoned cruisers their favorite destination. The Baltic was frequently mentioned and it worked out for us to go this year. We were scheduled to embark on the 23rd of June. We took off from LAX on 6/20 and arrived in Copenhagen on 6/21 and checked into the AC Bell Sky (Marriott property) which was a short metro ride to downtown. Bella Sky had an airport shuttle, daily ...

For a long time I wanted to visit the Scandinavian countries/capitals and The Amber Room @ Hermitage (St. Petersburg). This cruise was the perfect fit. I was not that concerned with what boat we were on, but what the itinerary was. Luckily for us, we liked the ship enough to enjoy the whole vacation! Embarkation and disembarkation was pretty smooth. In: Enough processing people that even with ...

Trip of a lifetime

The Regal Princess Baltic Sea cruise marked our 12th cruise. The trip was booked as a high school graduation present for my son. He and our 16 year old shared a room, while my wife and I enjoyed our own peace and quiet. The trip was incredible. The itinerary is perfect for sampling the Baltic countries. Two days in St. Petersburg was definitely necessary to properly explore. (Obviously, in ...

Great itinerary, terrible cabin

We did the Imperial Treasures cruise/tour. The land portion was outstanding. The cruise was very good with just a few disappointments. First I have to say the wait staff at the International Cafe always welcomed me happily. Our room steward Marlin, is the best we have had in fifteen cruises with different lines. It was a great way to see a lot of that part of the world in a short amount of ...

Excellent time in the Baltic

Always wanted to travel there. Had done most of the cruises leaving from the USA and needed to branch out into other countries as we like cruising. The ports of call were spectacular. Coming from Texas we loved the cool temperatures. We enjoy just walking around and soaking up the culture. We took none of the Princess excursions, opting to wing it when we got there. Entertainment was ...

Lovely ship, good itinerary, but restaurant badly organised and crew unfriendly.

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, it didn't disappoint. We loved the ship, the decor of the public spaces was very good. The food in the 'Anytime Dining' restaurant was good although the service was dismal, out of 11 nights we were sent away with a 'beeper' and had to wait anything up to 45 minutes. We were so frustrated, that on two occasions we gave the beeper back and went to ...

Great Ports & Excursions, but Onboard needs improvement

We're Platinum level cruisers with Princess. Middle aged married couple. Chose this cruise mostly for it's destinations and the Regal Princess itself. 11 nights around the Baltic. On the plus side, the ports and the 3 Princess excursions we booked were great! Copenhagen, Oslo, Warnemunde/Wismar, Germany, Tallinn, Estonia, St. Petersburg (!!), Helsinki, Stockholm, back to Copenhagen. All had ...
