I have loved Princess line but have not cruised on it for a couple of years.
I like the little special treatments you get such as real flowers on the table and restrooms.
I found lots to like on the Regal.
The buffet had food choices that I have never found on 36 cruises. The lines for the buffet were short and there was no problem getting a seat. Servers come around with ...
We departed Port Everglades 2/4/18 on the Regal Princess. We parked at Park and Fly which did a fantastic job both to and from the port. We arrived at terminal 2 at about 11:15 AM and went straight onto the ship with no wait. Both the embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth with no issues. Luggage arrived at our cabin before 1:00 PM.
Our cabin was D143 on deck 9 forward DE class. The ...
We have been on 7 previous Princess Cruises (5 different Grand class ships) and enjoyed the time on the ship and enjoyed relaxing on various beaches. This time we decided to try a Royal class ship (Regal). We loved the larger ship (the plaza & buffet is much more spacious). We also decided to try the Enclave and paid for weekly passes to enjoy the hot tub and saunas which was great. We never felt ...
Before we left I was hoping for reviews mainly to see what had changed on the ship in a year, and to find out the condition of the islands we would visit, but I didn't find hardly anything. Starting with the ship, this is an awesome ship that we loved, that is why we took the same ship, same room, two years in a row. There were a few different things this year. The entertainment was better this ...
we selected princess because we have cruised almost all the other lines (Royal, Carnival, Norwegian, Costa, Holland American) and wanted to try Princess. Embarkation was a bit chaotic, I think it could have been managed a bit better, but once we got on the ship it was amazing. The ship was clean, beautiful and plenty of crew members to answer questions. We immediately went to Alfredo's pizzeria, ...
Did not enjoy the onboard activities. All consisted of game show types. No separate dancing/music room, rather open dancing in the foyer fo ship. Cruise line did not take the time to make passengers feel welcome at all. Embarcation and debarkation were very good.
Did not like the constant automatic shuffles on blackjack table at all.
Elevators seemed to be very slow in coming.
Dining ...
Loved the Panama Canal day! Such history! Having Dr. Ryan narrating the day through the canal was an extra bonus. So many things that I learned and was not aware of. Plus he provided many other lectures during the cruise that were very interesting.
The ports going from LA to Ft Lauderdale were good. The excursions we chose were good. Exciting to be at the edge of an active volcano in ...
Picked this ship because we were never on it before, and I liked the itinerary. Princess has improved its embarkation and disembarkation. The ship was clean and bright. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Our room had a balcony and I found it just the right size. The balcony had two chairs and a little table, great to have a glass of wine on. The food has improved in the buffet. The dining ...
Food was super. Interesting changes at buffet. Lobster twice in main dining. Shows were good. Especially Scott Wyler. Voted entertainer of the year for Princess was so funny. The Universse showroom has sofas and arm chairs. Great for shows and movies. Tv did not offer too many channels. We missed seeing Olympics. A few channels like nbc and cbs would be nice. CNN too. The movies were current and ...
We loved our cruise on the Regal Princess to their private island, St Thomas and St Maarten. The ship is beautiful as were the islands. Highly recommend!
Our cabin was perfect for us. We loved having the refrigerator and the movies on demand in the room with recent hit movies. Also had our own Superbowl Party with room service and the ability to get the game on in our room. Loved it! ...
