Dedicated Princess Cruiser with critical suggestions

I am an Elite Princess cruiser and selected this second cruise on princess this year to enjoy as always. Service was good, food excellent, entertainment mostly good but....1. Port stop at Bonaire should be improved - took beach break excursion from ship and cut it short because selection of beach was terrible: odor at beach and access to water less than desirable and $25 per person charge for ...

The Best Cruise For So Many Reasons

We choose this cruise specifically because it was sailing into Grenada W.I. In 1989 our family decided to do volunteer work there for 2 years with our 2 young children. After almost 30 years we were really excited to go back; and what a wonderful experience it was. Our Granddaughter of 13yrs old came along as well. She brought along a large suitcase filled with goodies which she gave to a ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. This was our 31st cruise. We loved all of the ports. Our food was good as was the service. Our biggest complaint deals with handicapped accessible areas. Nothing on this ship is set aside for wheelchair passengers. We couldn't use the Princess Theater. One evening we even got there 45 minutes in advance. All end seats were already taken. There is no place to ...

Quality lacking

Chose it for the ports we hadn't visited before. Quality and choices of food were lacking in dining rooms. Went to Horizon Court for more options which I have never done before. The selections are so bad Princess is offering hamburgers on every dinner menu. Three of the ports weren't worth visiting for points of interest. Looked appealing in cruise description before booked, but in reality ...

Panama Canal Trip

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

This was our first cruise, I wanted to see the Panama Canal. We enjoyed the cruise. The crew were friendly and courteous. As first-time cruisers, we came aboard with questions we couldn't get answered from the web site. What beverages are included? Never saw where milk was free, and didn't find out for a couple of days. We walked on board, and had no idea where to go or what to do. We didn't know ...

PANAMA CANAL CRUISE on ISLAND PRINCESS = AWESOME~!!!!

We chose this cruise to experience the Panama Canal "Ocean to Ocean" excursion- It was amazing in every aspect. The Ports of Call were also excellent; we had a great time in each port (short as some days were). As far as the Island Princess, we had no major complaints. You've most likely heard they "modified" it awhile back and added more cabins at the expense of losing the part of the ...

Awesome cruise experience. The ship was in excellent condition and cleanliness an obvious priority. Service staff exceptional and always greeting with a warm, sincere smile. Cuisine was solid - something for all tastes. Only regret was that I could simply not taste all the dishes! Did have to wait a couple times for seating on anytime dining plan but pleasantly sat in the piazza to pass the ...

Mostly A Good Time Was Had!

My husband chose this Island Princess cruise due to the fact that the ship sails through the Panama Canal. There is so much history with this canal, it would be wise to do some research on a web site or book(s) before depature so you have knowledge of how this canal came to be to and is utilized. Passengers can take advantage of a wide range of physical activites including dance lessons ...

Old ship and it smells.

It was a 15 days cruise to some places we'd never been. We traveled with another couple and we all decided this would be a nice cruise. We will never take the Island Princess again, it is quite old, has added too many rooms for the facilities (gym, all dining rooms, loungers, pool), everything is overwhelmed by the number of guests. I've never been on a ship that had an old cabbage (or worse) ...

Enjoy cruising with Princess and the Island Princess was our choice! The ports and the Panama Canal was our dream/bucket list! We were lucky enough to be upgraded for a minimal charge to a mini suite and what a wonderful experience that was! The beds were really comfortable and the sofa was comfortable to sit and relax on! We really enjoyed the cabin. Overall it was wonderful with 6 ports! ...
