First time on Princess

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Caribbean Princess

It was our anniversary and we are trying cruise lines other than Carnival. We were fortunate to get upgraded to a Club Class mini-suite. We had booked an accessible balcony but when we were offered an upgrade we jumped on it since I could fold my wifes wheelchair and carry it in the room. Darn we got spoiled in the Club Class dining room. Our servers were first rate especially Marvin, Greys ...

Caribbean Princess Disappointment

This was an 8-night cruise to the Dutch islands of Curacao, Bonaire, and Aruba, and the dates worked well for us. As a second cruise on Princess within a year (first one was in Alaska), the Caribbean Princess was very disappointing. On the positive side: Our cabin was nice -- a mini-suite with a balcony and real bathroom with a tub. Very comfortable bedding and air conditioning worked well. ...

This was my first cruise with Princess and as a result of my experience, it will definitely be my last. Prior to booking, I had this impression that Princess was an elite cruising brand. I expected more of them than I would a Carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean cruise line. I could not have been more wrong. Let's start with the PROS since its a short list. PROS: Embarkation - ...

Disappointing Princess Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We chose this cruise because we liked the 10 nights to some of the islands we have visited before. My wife and I have cruised on the Caribbean Princess 5 times. We really like all of our other cruises on this ship. Everythinng was really good. This time though was really bad for us. Entertainment was sub-par for us. After seing some of the shows and entertainers, I think I will come up with ...

My girlfriend and I (both in our late 50's) went on the newly refurbished Caribbean Princess and she did not disappoint. This was our third cruise together (sailed together previously on NCL and HAL). However, this was my 53rd cruise and her 57th cruise. We have been on enough cruise ships to know whats really good and what is not. We live in S. Florida and this allows the opportunity to cruise ...

Ship is in need of major repairs. It is showing its age.

We picked this ship because liked the itinerary and length of the cruise. Embarkation and disembarkation were excellent. All of the cruise staff was excellent! Could have had more activities on the ship. Most of the entertainment was very good. The dining in the dining room was very good as were the wait staff. We were extremely disappointed with the changes in the Buffet. Much ...

Pure disappointment

The best parts of this cruise was the Ft. Lauderdale port ease of access, the comfort of their beds, their countless trivias ( and I mean this was one of best sources of entertainment), and a general friendliness of the cruise director staff. Other than that, it was pretty disappointing. We chose traditional dining, because we wanted that bond with our wait staff. From the first dinner, we ...

Great Cruise

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Coral Princess

We had a great time. Embarkation was smooth. Even though the ship was full it never seemed crowded. We had the last port side balcony on the 8th deck. We were able to see not only out to the side but also to the back. This was great when going through the canal. We were even able to reach out and touch the side wall of the Panama Canal in one of the locks. The main anytime dining room was good ...

Canal Was On My List

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Coral Princess

I have checked a major item off my bucket list. The Coral Princess is not a large ship but was big enough to accommodate all of our needs. The mini-suite we had was big enough to meet our needs. There are 2 TVs in case there's ever a conflict on what to watch. We had any time dining and always the option to go very informal and visit the Horizon Court for full meals or snacks. The promenade ...

Cruising the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose this particular cruise, as it was a full Panama Canal Transit. This had been on my husband's Bucket List for many years now and when he retired and we had unlimited "vacation time", I booked it immediately The Coral Princess is a pretty ship, smaller in size and has everything one needs. I will admit it is looking a bit worn, but kept immaculately clean. The public areas were ...
