We chose this cruise primarily to see Mid Night Sun. And we were not disappointed! We were above the Arctic Circle for 5, 24 hr Sun days/Nights! 3 days were cloudy, one day partially sunny and one day was clear blue skies. The midnight sun on June 22 was very surreal and Princess had a midnight party on the top deck.
All the other ports of call were very scenic. The Norwegian Fjords are awesome ...
This was our first Baltic cruise. Princess cruise lines did an excellent job. Embarkation was a breeze. The Medallion service still has start up problems as many employees are not up to speed, but it has worthwhile features. They only updated one account with the Beverage package and the waiter had to get the other one added. The Medallion really does not do too much more than the cruise card ...
We are seasoned cruisers with DH finally reaching the “laundry” level on Princess. We have originally booked Alaska on Royal, but switched to Regal in Baltic fairly last minute. We do love the Royal Class ships – better buffet, Alfredo’s, Princess Live, Enclave, etc. Below are my thoughts and observations from our 11 day Baltic adventure.
Ship. We have sailed on Regal last year before Medallion ...
A wonderful cruise on the sensational fabulous Regal princess. I couldn't fault this cruise and I have been on a few cruises especially Princess. The staff are extremely professional and it ran like clockwork. It had a great vibe to the ship.
The food in mdr was of a high quality along with other food outlets.
The entertainment was great with a wide variety of entrainment options.
The ...
We boarded the ship in St. Petersburg, specifically so that we could spend two full days with a private guide and driver before the cruise. After doing a lot of Internet research I settled on Best Guides (www.bestguides-spb.com). From the beginning we dealt with Dariya via email and she was wonderful. Not only did they plan a custom tour for you, but they were able to quickly respond to your ...
Picked this cruse experience due to a special Travelzoo deal that included flight, $85 onboard credit, $58 special dining credit and one bottle of red wine.
Itinerary - wonderful, all the ports were worth visited again.
Dining - food was not great, compared to the Celebrity cruise that I took before. In general the sit down dinner dishes ( especially fish) were not prepared well and not ...
The reason we picked this cruise was because of the itinerary and the overnight stay in St Petersburg, Russia. We had over 10 cruises in the past 2 years with different cruise lines and have been cruising with Royal Caribbean most of the time, so we thought it would be nice to try Regal Princess for this Baltic/Scandinavia trip. This was a family cruise with my husband, our 2 young children, my ...
We were on the Royal Princess Feb/March 2019 on the South America cruise and thought the Baltic Cruise on the Regal Princess early June, would be a good comparison of the two ships. While both ships have similar decor and design we were somewhat disappointed in the Regal Princess.
We thought the age of this ship showed. The staff did not seem as friendly and happy. It was rare to see ships ...
We did this cruise because we'd never been in the Baltic before. We've sailed with Princess before with mixed results and this trip was par for the course. The destinations were excellent. (St. Petersburg was the surprise disappointment, Talinn and Warnemünde was outstanding!)
Embarkation and disembarkation in Copenhagen was really easy. Actually, with the medallion, getting on and off at all ...
We are a young-ish couple who mainly do independent travel so this was only our second cruise but we loved it. I travel a lot but have never been to many of the countries we docked in so this was exciting and all were really interesting. I also work a lot so wanted a little bit of rest and comfort. This was definitely a comfortable, elegant ship, but I would say the itinerary is a little hectic, ...
