Clean ship, decent food, nice serving staff

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ruby Princess

We chose this cruise line because of our travel agent and the 8 different ports available. embarkation went smoothly, however the disembarkation was so crazy. there wasn't enough room or order for all passengers to be in the same place at the same time. our cabin was nice, we reserved a balcony room and it was worth it. might upgrade to the next room though if we were to cruise again, the shower ...

Not up to Expectations

We chose this cruise as an celebration of my birthday. The Ruby did not meet our expectations at all. The staff was not at all customer oriented and for the most parr were just going through the motions. The buffet was subpar. The Vines lounge was excellent and a great offering. The staff in this lounge made our cruise. Overall This was by far the worst cruise we have taken and we have taken 7, ...

Chose this cruise purely to sail through the Fjords of New Zeland and set up 1TB of memory on a brand new phone at huge expense to record it all.. We took a new $400 massager for pre existing ailments which got confiscated at embarkment. All meals are extremely sub par, tasteless and repetitive...hope you like pork..Bacon is always hard ..ALWAYS..The meals you pay for in the total price are ...

First-time cruise with wheelchair

We saw the cruise advertised in our city's newspaper and thought why not. I've been wheelchair bound for the last 3 years and this was our first attempt for me to travel again. It was also our first cruise. From the moment we arrived at the dock, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Our bag was taken and we were ushered through the embarkation process. Staff were on hand to help me aboard and ...

Miss old layout

We have done over 30 cruises, with over 20 on Princess. This is our second cruise on the Royal Class ships. We do not like the new layout. Too big with over 4000 passengers. All our old favourite dance venues have disappeared including Explorers Lounge, Wheelhouse bar, Club Fusion and the Sky lounge. It seems these have been replaced by more cabins and restaurants. All the dancing on the Royal ...

NYE family cruise

we chose this cruise as we wanted to try a new ship in the princess line, and to experience NYE with family in New Zealand and catchup with my daughter in Melbourne. We overall enjoyed the cruise and thought the design of the ship beautiful but missed the sky walker bar, and other lounge areas that are on the older ships like Regal Princess, the marketplace was too small and food choices ordinary, ...

Cruise full of goods and not so goods

Chose this cruise as the timing was right for our time off work and had heard princess was a great cruise line. We have been on Celebrity and Carnival previous and my wife and I are in our late 30’s. First impressions was this ship is huge.. and it is.. But at the same time it never really felt too full even though there was 4100 passengers. The only exceptions were the theatre and buffet at ...

My boyfriend wanted to go to Australia so we booked this cruise. New Zealand was amazing and so was Tasmania. We had a balcony room which was amazing for the Fiordlands even though the weather wasn't great that day it was still an amazing experience. We went a few days prior and spend some time in Auckland New Zealand which was a wonderful city and then spend a couple days in Sydney Australia as ...

Do not expect service on the MAJESTIC PRINCESS

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

I have sailed on Princess twice before and Always got exceptional service. Unfortunately it seems the bigger the ship the less service one gets. From the person selling the coffee cards to the dining and general staff, I was under the impression that either the staff were over worked or actually more like they just didn't care. I blame the management for this overall lack of ' friendlyness ' ...
