Affordability to what we wanted to see & do, recommendation of our friend and travel agent, is why we chose Princess.
The personnel on board the ship were for the most part exceptional with "customer service". The food, (we were looking forward to fresh, quality seafood as well as -chef dishes-) was very good. We did have a few complications as far as planning excursions, after we got on ...
Embarkation and disembarkation went nicely, but it should since that's their business. The cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed having a starboard side balcony. The sheets and mattress were very comfortable. The ship was nice as were most employees, some entertain was stellar but some was mediocre, most food was good but not stellar (the main dining room and buffet on lido deck were pretty good ...
I had done the land/sea cruise with Princess in 2004. I was very disappointed in the dated decor and condition of the Island Princess. Tiki huts and fern decor was not fitting for Alaska! The carpeting in the Lido Cafe was dirty and worn. The bathroom was very small and Water came sloshing up in our shower basin and left dirt flecks behind. Embarkation was NOT well done. The agent that gave us our ...
We lucked out with the weather. Spectacular sceneries. Great company. Everyone friendly.
I am a frequent cruiser, been on different cruise lines; sorry to say that Princess isn't my top choice. Compare to Celebrity: Princess Ruby ( and Regal) has smaller cabin, their mini suite that my sister used is same size as a stateroom balcony on Celebrity.
Food quality in Dinning room is ...
This will likely be our last Princess cruise. Our ship was outdated and not special.
We cruised on Princess 10 years ago and it felt very special and grand. All that magic was gone this time.
-The last day several staff members were rude to us. They seemed short on patience in general but all bets were off on that last day.
-Items were left in cabin from the family ahead of us. ...
Bed as twins felt like falling out of bed

Our stateroom attendant was more interested in going home changed stateroom attendants middle of cruise
Captain aborts Hubbard glacier due to weather and fog

I took the Royal Princess Southbound on the Voyage of the Glaciers itinerary. The ship was great and the crew were very efficient and friendly. I had booked an inside cabin and it was more than adequate for the trip. I came to see Alaska, not hang out in my cabin, so I feel I that I didn't 'miss anything' by having an interior cabin. Food was good - it was all very well prepared and presented. ...
Because we wanted to see Alaska and it was our first cruise and it was our 40th anniversary and we wanted to go on a cruise. The food was excellent and the waiters was really nice. Everything on the Ruby Princess was great, you had, movie nights and theater and dances. You 4 different swimmingft pools and hot tubs and you had great coffee. We thought Alaska cruise would be fun because, everyone ...
We just completed a 7 day Alaskan cruise on Royal Princess ship. Princess Medallion System, in my opinion, is a breach of privacy. You wear or carry this medallion around your neck on somewhere on your body all the time. It has all your personal info on it. It is used as your cabin key, access to get on and off the ship, drink or any other purchases you make on the ship. The problem we had ...
The entertainment was terrible. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. The wait staff were excellent. Some even remembered our names. The price you pay for this cruise is too much for what you get. The entertainment was the same people all the time in different places and times. The one singer was horrible. I had to leave until he was done. Some of the staff even said he was terrible. In the mini ...
