Having never been away for Xmas we, and another couple, booked this 10 day cruise on a ship we have travelled the World on. Never again. From leaks on every deck, toilets that didn’t work, cutbacks in every department and missing 2nd day in Amsterdam and not calling into Zeebruge….it was awful. 24/10 piped Xmas music on a loop so loud you couldn’t hear yourself speak in some place. Although the ports that we managed to call at were okay, the ship itself was abysmal. (Oslo for two very cold days. Copenhagen for two days (badly organised transfer that should have made two stops in order for people to visit The Little Mermaid and Art museum. And one out of two days in Amsterdam. The Arcadia is an old ship and it is starting to show. Leaky roofs and blocked toilets, stained carpets and scuffed creaky lifts. It went to the Canaries, no airport waiting and late availability. From getting onboard the my holiday app was temperamental to say the least. Everything needed booking through it including theatre etc. by continually going on there I was able to book most entertainment and some restaurants for 6 pm, but Christmas Day and New Years Eve showed that 12.15 am was only time available.
