Ship in poor condition, cabins tired , buffet restaurants look like a school canteen no evidence of any ongoing maintenance. On good side main dinnerquality very good in contrast to the buffet which has poor selection, under and overcooked mains, pastries made by 6 year olds, smoothies without any taste, over crowded . P&O have been costcutting everywhere and it shows , no cruise director or ship ...
Not what I expected, the two dress-up nights were very very underwhelming, nothing much on, and the food was just very disappointing. Breakfast one morning the sausage was definitely off yuk!! In general, the meals were rather a letdown, some tables were rather small for 4 people and all the plates, etc.
Very little entertainment during the day unless you enjoy dancing which is on in the ...
It has takem me until now to write this critique because I came back so angry and disappointed : we have been cruising with P and O and princess ships for 12 years or more including the Ventura : NEVER WITH P and O again!!
canaries was on my bucket list for my 70th brthday gift
problems started when couldn't have table for 2: instead we were put on a table for 6 with people I didn't want to ...
Standards have dropped significantly since our last cruise with P & O.
We have cruised many times, and were really looking forward to our first canaries cruise. We treated ourselves to a suite but didn’t select our cabin number at the time of booking. On arrival we were disappointed that our so called partially
covered balcony was fully covered from above by the swimming pool deck and ...
This was my first cruise with P and O and I had high expectations. Sadly they were not delivered; the ships decor was in places “tired” although some of the bars , such as Adersons and the Crows Nest were very comfortable and restful. This was my third cruise this year and I was surprised to find issues re. staff shortages. Not all of the speciality restaurants were open, there was no turn down ...
Well that is us ashore and making our way home from Ventura. We had an amazing holiday, met great people, and stunning port calls. Value for money was excellent but where do you start with Ventura? She is clearly a Marmite ship with many loyal followers which is good, however and for us we was not impressed at all. Cleanliness is well well below acceptable standards never mind what you expect ...
I have been on a number of cruises with different cruise lines Decided to give P & O a try, and decision. IThe service was poor. Short staffed, didn't even make up the third bed on my room for three days even though I reported it to reception and hotel management. Good was rubbish, self service restaurant was never fully opened. Rooms were seldom cleaned never mind no turn down service. Never ...
Choosing Ventura for half term week was a gamble, she was full yet I was on board witjthere was still room to move, the terrace pool never overcrowded. The staff are what make Ventura so good.
She is ageing gracefully has many loyal returning guests, I enjoyed my week immensely yet P& O have made a lot of cutbacks.
Breakfast not as bountiful in the buffet but better in the ...
We had always thought about going on a cruise but had been put off by the price and also by some of the issues that I think put others off - hidden charges such as tips, excursions and the like, the perceived "stuffiness" of the clientele and possible seasickness. When we had our son however and were looking for a holiday to enjoy after the COVID-19 lockdowns, we decided to book this cruise rather ...
We chose this cruise because it was outside of school holidays and it went to some places we had not been to on other cruises. We started in Valetta, did a week in the eastern Med then back to Valetta, we then stayed on and went to Palma, Gibraltar and then onto the Canaries.
We usually prefer adult only ships and smaller ships, to date this was the biggest ship we had been on.
Having booked ...
