We have cruised on many different lines as well as P&O. We noticed a distinct drop in both quality and service on this cruise compared to previous pre Covid P&O cruises. I appreciate they lost money over the Covid period and need to try to regain some of that back. But they are moving too drastically and it has adversely affected our enjoyment to the point whereby we will probably be looking ...
We have been on P&O many times but this was the worst experience that we have ever had on a cruise. It was made worse by there being no cabin available for us on arrival. Our cabin was already occupied when we tried to enter it and so we had to hang around reception for hours whilst another cabin was found. Not a great start. I had booked a deluxe balcony cabin and was expecting a little luxury. ...
So cheap cruising has become like a trip to Benidorm on P&O
The ship is dated. Understaffed and lacking the glitz and glamour we have experienced on other ships. Our toilet flooded on the first night and we had flushing issues for 2 weeks so did our neighbouring rooms
The Buffet closed too early, some days we missed lunch due to trip return times . Buffet often closed 2.30
The App for ...
Our 1st P&O cruise and possibly our only one.
Ship overall is OK in terms of design and features, very tatty though in places and felt quite neglected.
Only one way to describe the food, Awful, to the point we had to meet and complain with the head of department.
Food in MDR was inedible and service was pretty poor too. We left after the main course on first night and didn't return as ...
This cruise fitted in with my work holidays and my childs school holidays - it was a decent price, as it included the flights - shame they where from Birmingham, as Manchester would have been better.
There was 3 cabins booked - we had linked all 3 of the bookings - but sadly on NYE the first night only 2 of the cabins where at the same table for dinner - and this was at 5.30pm - when we only ...
I picked this cruise solely for the winter sun, a fly cruise gave maximum sun time in the Canaries - and the weather was wonderful. So glad I paid what I think is a very reasonable £229 for the Retreat for the 14 days. So I was able to stretch out in the sun, in a lovely select area (child free - a great boon), service of the highest order; the supposedly upmarket sun-loungers are past their sell ...
bland, tasteless repetitive non regional food in main restaurants, slow service ( not enough staff restaurants and bars), tiny choice in buffet. speciality restaurants could not try as has not booked pre boarding. lack of attention to detail. nothing for midnight new year eve ( even paper part hat), all feels dated and neglected....scuffed walls, non working lifts, non working water/coffee ...
We chose this cruise because it was seven nights and days in the sun. It was also to celebrate my birthday on New Years Eve. As we had sailed on Azura before we were familiar with the ship.
We had requested a table for 8 for New Years Eve. We were given a table for two in a dark corner at the back of the ship. P&O were informed that this was a special birthday. No acknowledgment whatsoever. ...
Cruise for Christmas! Sounds lovely right
Except for bacon found in a vegan meal. Plastic found in the buffet tikka masala and rude receptionists who get defensive when you tell them something is wrong rather than helping and then ignore you until you go away. A virtual queuing system that doesn’t work despite the receptionists and restaurant staff swearing by it. All the specialty restaurants ...
This was our first cruise at Christmas and first voyage on P&O. We decided on Azura around the Canary Islands as the dates worked perfectly for us.
The ship is very dated for its age and in need of some TLC in the public areas and a good deep clean. It was 50/50 if the toilets would be clean when you used them, bins overflowing floors wet!!! First time I’ve been on a cruise and seen toilets ...
