Great Cruise with some buts.

Just back today from our week on Azura. The main point is we really enjoyed our cruise. As usual we met some lovely other cruisers (and a few of the other ones!). The destinations were good, the staff helpful and friendly. The shows were excellent. All in all a great cruise. Here comes the howevers. These are all minor but they do sort of add up. There was a shortage of ...

I came with my mother an experienced cruiser and along with most people we met we all thought the same Poor food but plentiful the menus at the sit down restaurant were good it was just the quality and presentation on arrival I bought a nice bottle if wine from on shore and went to ask how much for corkage i was told it was £30 unbelievable for a bottle of wine Good and polite ...

Thus wa my first cruise with P&O and it will certainly be my last. In fact it was such a dreadful holiday that it may well put me off cruising altogether. It started badly when we arrived at Southampton on a P&O coach along with many others. This led to long queues which was a sign of things to come. Although unpleasant it was not as bad as disembarkation which was delayed for over an hour due ...

Good itinerary, shame about the standard of food

We cruised from Malta to Croatia, taking in Split, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Trieste. The ship is small compared with the Iona, which is a ship we love to sail on. The entertainment was excellent with a good variety of comedy, music, magic and movies to watch. However, the food in the buffet was so disappointing. I spoke to other cruisers about this and many said the same and that they are ...

Ship is coming apart and operations manager needs replacing

Where to start? Check in was speedy so positive there. After setting sail every single guest was aghast that water is not included in children's drinks package. And when we tried to order tap water the server didn't recommend this and offered us to pay for it instead. Serving staff hardly left the bar area to gather orders so naturally went to the bar to order to find out they ...

This was our third time on this ship. The first just a ship visit 5 years ago whilst she was in Southampton, where we had a lovely meal etc.and decided that it would be nice to travel on Aurora to the Northern lights so booked on board for that trip. That was out 24th cruise on various cruise lines and large and small cruise ships and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I found this cruise on line and ...

Just back from a one week cruise on the Azura which I booked having very much enjoyed my first P&O cruise three years ago. I expected the same experience as last time. Sadly this did not happen. I heard many seasoned cruisers saying that the food was poor and the service not as great. This is also my view so I spoke to a senior member of the on board management team and can now report the ...

Chose the cruise as being of good value for an early Easter get away, travelled with wife and child age 12. It was our first time on Azura however have sailed P&O several times before. The ship was well maintained in public areas. The cabin cleanliness could have been better. The food in the MDR was good but with small portion sizes. Sindhu as excellent as ever. The Glass House and the Beach ...

Nice ship with too many people

Lovely ship which is quite compact put alongside the bigger more modern ones. The boarding at the start was seamless and the extended balcony cabin on deck 9 was very roomy. The staff were excellent in all departments on service level and the food was of good quality. The ship is let down badly by the Buffett restaurant which is not fit for purpose. The serving area is far too small for the number ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Ventura

Ventura, S/hampton - S/hampton, 2nd March - 5th. April 2023, 35nts. This is officially the worst cruise I've ever been on. The embarkation process was complete chaos, and lasted most of the day. Despite P&O demanding that passengers self administer a Covid test & photograph results with date/time etc, this evidence was not requested or scrutinised at check-in. There were numerous incidences ...
