Not as grand as expected

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Aurora

This was my 4th cruise and the most expensive. I had high hopes for this one. I've done cruises on MSC, Costa and Norwegian. I was really excited to do a classy cruise, dressing up, nice meals, exciting sea days. We even had a mini balcony suite which was gorgeous. The cruise was Italy and Croatia. The weather wasn't the best, so the ships entertainment was very much needed and this is where ...

Cannot fault the entire experience. From flight check in at Manchester, the TUI flight, check in for the cruise at Malta, the entire experience onboard to picking up the bags on return to Manchester airport. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. P&O's organizations was superb. Our superior deluxe cabin on deck 9 midship was immaculate throughout. It had a full size bathroom. We had an attentive steward ...

Great cabin but wear and tear showing everywhere

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Ventura

I was going to sail on Cunard on a similar itinerary but wanted something less formal. Boarding was not great. I arrived early and despite there being no queues to board at that time, they made me wait for 2 hours, so not a good start. My cabin was great and huge but there was mildew on the tiles in the bathroom, something that can be easily cleaned, right P&O?? I chose the relaxed dining but ...

Last sailed on Britannia a couple of years ago (post pandemic) and was expecting something similar. Oh no. First the good - embarkation was smooth. The cabin (deluxe balcony) was spacious, comfortable and clean. Balcony was a good size. Room steward was polite and very helpful. Excursions and free shuttle buses were well organised (and free shuttle buses were plentiful). The ok - food was ...

First and Last ever P&O cruise

I read a number of reviews about P & O including this ship which seemed ok especially for solo travellers do decided to book. The ship is very tired in a number of areas and in need of a refit. Cabins / bathrooms certainly things like missing grout, cracked shower trays, ineffective air conditioning. I reported my air conditioning day one, since then 3 further times now on day 12 and still not ...

Agreeable short trip to Amsterdam on Ventura

Budget (inside cabin) trip. Facilities good (well as good as expected). Food good but we are not fussy eaters, and the standard restaurants and buffet are fine for us. We are not really drinkers, so can comment on that side of things, but seemed a bit steep [and didnt initially realize standard level drinks are NOT included, compared to other 'all in' Marella cruises we have been ...

Sad decline of Ventura

Retirement cruise. We had saved for this and were so disappointed at the level of decline. We have only ever cruised with P&O and ALL previous cruises have been fantastic. This one however was NOT. The cabin was not cleaned to a very good standard. No evening turndown now. The restaurant staff seem like they don’t want to be there and the food was really disappointing. Portions were ...

We've been on the Azura on many occations. Where we fly into Malta and go on a weeks cruise around the Med. This year we visited Greece and Turkey. We were delighted with the flight out to Malta. It only took us 25 minutes from start to finish to get flight side and the only slight delay at Malta was getting through their Border Control. There's been a couple of changes over the last few ...

Tradition 1 Technology 2

Azura would not be our first choice we prefer the tried and traditional cruise. But with flights from our local Airport and an attractive on board credit we gave it a go. The prospect of getting down to Southampton is a little daunting these days. So opted for a 14 day Fly Cruise from Malta around the Med Taking in Greece Turkey Italy Corsica Flight by TUI was Ok just the bare bones these ...

We chose this cruise because the ports were interesting. Categena,Catania,Cagliari,Trieste,Dubrovnik,Gibraltar. This was better than the usual ports offered in the Med. Ship was excellent,a smaller ship, easy to find your way around, and plenty of nice places to relax on board. Sun decks have plenty of places to sit without it being crowded with sun bathers. We chose freedom dining, and the ...
