We had previously sailed on Azura in 2010 when she was brand new and after 14 years there was quite a difference in the state of the ship. That said she was clean and the staff were always around cleaning and polishing.
Our cabin was clean and functional although the lack of USB points was an issue as we could only plug our devices in where the kettle was situated above the fridge.
We didn't ...
3 days before we sailed, we were contacted by P&O who advised us that our cabin was no longer available and gave us an ultimatum of a downgrade to inside cabin with a 50% refund or cancel our holiday. We were left with no choice but to accept the downgrade. We booked this cruise in June 23. The ship itself is in a poor state and in desperate need of a refurb. The food was substandard. We we both ...
Embarkation superb; atrium pathetically underwhelming; cabin spotless and stewardess excellent; ship tired and has the feel of being past it's sell by date; In-house shows very professional; singers average; comedians pretty dire and smutty (the two go together),and in the main not funny; cost cutting everywhere, flogging you stuff at every opportunity; food average only; tea and coffee dire (not ...
It was when Lorena, Sous Chef in the Horizon self-service restaurant, asked me on the first morning what sort of bread I preferred for my breakfast toast that I had an inkling that Aurora was going to deliver something special. The 65-night Grand Tour to the USA and Caribbean certainly did that, starting each day with seeded bread for my toast, baked by Lorena and cheerfully delivered to my table ...
We've sailed with P&O many times, first sailing with them back in 2011. This was the first time we were going to receive 'priority' boarding, however our embarkation time was delayed due to the requirement for the ship to be deep cleaned after a gastro intestinal disease outbreak. We arrived on time for our delayed embarkation and waited two hours outside before we were let into the terminal. We ...
Please dismiss the ' moaners and groaners ' reviews, they are totally out of order.
Jet2 P&O charter flight from Manchester was good, on arrival in Tenerife one does need to collect luggage, and it's a short walk to the coach, it then arrives in your cabin very quickly. Coach transfer around 45 minutes, embarkation very quick we were on the ship within 5 minutes. ( For a very special treat ...
I have been on ten cruises in total (four different companies), with my teenage children and without so I think I have enough experience to give a fair and honest review. This is my second P&O cruise, the first one was four nights from Southampton, this one from Tenerife. We will never go and P&O again.
The good - rooms were in good order and beds comfortable. We did ask to be near my ...
I thought the ship was wonderful.however the entertainment on board left a sour taste in my mouth, they have their own onboard busker, who was rubbish to be fair, Frankie was a good singer, but the Triptonic group i was not impressed with. Our Cabin was outside with a window which i was impressed with, as the size is decent as well, and the walk in wardrobe was a great idea, all ships should have ...
we chose to go away at xmas as we had never done that .
w to our cabin two hours late due too flight problems, discovered the safe didnt work despite two crew members trying , a new safe was installed next day ,we unpacked then went and found our friends and explored a bit, went back to cabin to go to bed and found the duvet cover had dirty marks and some suspcious red marks , 15 mins to get it ...
Had cruised on Ventura pre covid and 10 plus other cruises, reasonable standard not wow but ok . Now its standards have fallen so far, cost cutting to the bones ferry companies provide better. Cabin cleaned bed made if requested with card in lock once a day no turn down.,Bathroom no apparent cleaning as nothing ever moved mould in tiles grout coming out..Lack of vegetables on board asked for ...
