We have previously been on the Ventura and thoroughly enjoyed it so decided to give the azura a try. The prices of drinks are absurd. The entertainment not that great apart from jimmy Tamley and accent. When returning onto ship from port we found them writing our names down if we had more duty free than we should, so beware as they pass this information on in Southampton. Food standards have ...
We are in our mid 50's and cruise quite a lot. Mostly Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess.
We chose this cruise as it was a Transatlantic, stopping at the Azures which we have never visited. We still haven't. The day before we left I got an e-mail from P&O saying we wouldn't be going to the Azores . Reason they gave was stormy weather affecting their operations. They don't say that in ...
Liked the itinerary but particularly a visit to tha Azores, however, the cruise got off to a bad start when we received an email the day before flying out to Barbados saying the ship would not be stopping off at the Azores because of a storm in the Caribbean. We later learned that people already on board had this info. at least 10 days before!
After a 2 hour delay, we arrived on board and ...
storm riley caused 8 days at sea no trip to the azores on way back. The last time i did a p&o cruises where the itinerary wasn't changed was 2012 that year i did 2 cruises with no changes since i have done 3 cruises this one had 2 change originally we were going to saint martin i accepted that changed due to the hurricanes then we had storm riley the email came on the day before we left no visit ...
A travellors we wanted to try the Caribbean & I would confirm this was not a great introduction
I feel I must start with the bad. While booking our cruise I completed an accessibility & Medical Assistance ( 4 pages ) form as my Father In law ( 84 )was coming with us. As you can guess nothing was provided.
We flew from Gatwick to Bridgetown Barbados with transfers to the ship, I arranged a ...
We chose to mark our 20th wedding anniversary by doing our 1st ever cruise.
right from boarding the plane to getting on the ship everything ran so stress free and efficiently.
The on board entertainment was good apart from a comedian we saw who took 99% of his material straight off Facebook as all the jokes he told we had seen on there prior to boarding the ship.
There where plenty of ...
14 days Cruise. Flight out from Gatwick was ok ..couple of movies and food sorted. On landing has to get in a cramped mini bus that had seen better days. Took a few days to sort out the lifts and what stairs, but that part of the adventure.. freedom Dining is a Must, we turned up most nights at 6 to 6.30 in the Meridian . Good service and Good choice of food choice of sitting with 2 or as ...
Love the P&O Caribbean cruises as you fly into the Caribbean rather than having to travel from USA so you get to visit extra islands.
First time on Britannia, first impressions were fantastic and the cruise lived up to those first impressions.
The embarkation was a breeze and we were first on the ship, there were lots of flight issues due to snow back home so we were some of the lucky ...
This cruise was booked as a birthday present for my partner, she had been on a Caribbean cruise two years ago with her mother and sister and had loved it, for me it was a new experience and I didn't know what to expect.
On her previous cruise on Britannia, Karen had been disappointed that all the good shore excursions had been booked up in advance, so we selected 8 organised shore excursions ...
This was our 3rd cruise with P & O ship Azura doing the Caribbean cruise in early part of the year. But regret to say nowhere near as good as previous cruises. P & O have gone down a lot in our opinion. Our main gripe was the service and quality of food served the evening restaurant. The attitude of some of the waiters (not all) left a lot to be desired. It would have been nice if some of ...
