Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Britannia

Please don’t be put off by all the moaning grumpy reviews, P&O offer incredible value for money and you have to take that into account. We had an absolute whale of a time and to be honest couldn’t believe what we got for how little we paid. Do not be put off if you see a really good deal for P&O as it’s well worth it. (Generally I think the people who are prepared to pay the least are the very ...

Absolutely Brilliant!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

I chose this cruise because I'd always wanted to do a fjords cruise (okay you only actually visit one fjord, the rest are coastal towns but that's beside the point .... Norway is amazing!). First, embarkation. The CPS car parking service was easy to use. Pull up where they direct you, stay in the car till they ask you to get out, hand over your keys and head for the terminal. So many people ...

We are in a suite 12***. It’s beautiful. Food is good. Most a staff ok. Some just can’t b bothered. But DO NOT go to casino. The are crooks. I won and she didn’t pay out told me I had been paid. The boss came over said he looked at cctv which I wasn’t allowed to c. He said I had been paid. Everyone in table told them I hadn’t. There are in it together just to rob customers. When to ...

If this had been my first ever cruise, I know for sure it would be my last. Thank goodness I have had good experiences with other cruise liners because I love cruising.

The Horizon Buffet was awful, the worst I have ever seen on a cruise ship, poor quality, lack of choice, where it basically consisted of daily roast dinners/carvery, of a standard that I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole, plus a few other awful and poor quality looking options. Hygiene seemed poor. Children seen picking up food with their own hands!, large queues, chaotic, people bumping into each ...

If you're about to go on Iona as soon as you're on board put the My Holiday planner app on your phone and book for the week ahead. We were new to this process so missed out on a great deal of what Iona has to offer. The Limelight Club and the 710 Club were impossible to get into, the more special dinning restaurants were also all fully booked for the entire week so we were unable to experience ...

Breathtaking beautiful a must visit most people seem to give this ship 3 stars I agree with this next time I would choose a smaller ship as in too many people . Lots of great food but hard to book didn't get in some restraints drinks service a joke at times entertainment varied some very good some a little light on quality some good fun things like line dancing great walks around the decks pools ...

We always fancied a cruise for the honeymoon we never got through the covid, and we always fancied the Norwegian Fjords, and we are both glad we chose iona and its destination, from start to finish we enjoyed everything, met some wonderful people, even a local couple from where we live in seaham, and the male of the couple knew my wife's brother ( small world ), we had lots of laughs and ...

Beautiful ship, good food, good entertainment great cabin steward. Didn’t like the need to pre-book specialist dining (days before you sail otherwise you don’t stand a chance of getting in the restaurants). Some entertainment again book at home or on board but that’s with difficulty as some venues are small so fill up quickly it was difficult to be spontaneous on Iona. Deck 9 mid ships ...

I have never cruised with P&O before and I'm not certain I'd ever go back! The whole experience on board Britannia was shambolic from start to finish. I decided to book this trip over Easter with my two elderly Parents (both in their 80's) and my family of 5, 4 adults and a 17 year old. Firstly I was unable to book cabins close together as the price to do this was more than triple the price we ...

Theatre and Skydome repeats

We went on the Western Europe cruise last week only to find the Headliners theatre and Skydome shows were identical to those we watch on Iona last September/October,by a fully packed audience. This time the shows were only watched by about 3/4 capacity, eeven though we had full capacity of passengers. When we asked about these shows, we were informed that they can be shown for several ...
