Cabin A119
Mar 2016
Cabin was clean but small and much like a caravan. Service though was excellent throughout the cruise in all areas, no complaints there. The cabin unfortunately was directly below the Gym and the treadmills, so from early morning until evening we could often hear them which was a real issue for my wife.

Cabin A149
Jan 2011
Wonderful cruise! Great value for money. By: ocean_liner_traveller
Cabin A149 is just next to the front staircase, but I never had any problem with noise by either the passengers or elevators. On the contrary, it was so convenient to find the stairs and lifts just after leaving the cabin. The cabin is on the highest cabin deck of the ship (11). It is said that cabins high on a ship are more prone to the ship's pitching and rolling, but I did not find much difference from other parts of the ship. This is perhaps because the cabin is rather in the middle (to the front) of the ship. The cabin has a wide window and is bright and comfortable. I was very satisfied by its attention to detail in both the main cabin and the bathroom. Only in Holland America, an excellent premium cruise line in my humble opinion, I have seen such flawless and wisely designed cabins. I shall repeat here what I wrote in the main part of my review about the cabin: We had a wonderful oceanview stateroom on Deck 11. Although we have travelled on larger cabins or suites, it was wisely designed, nicely decorated and we missed nothing. The position of the sofa in the corner enabled one to face directly to the window and enjoy the view when sitting or having lunch. It is a pity that this configuration is not used more widely in other ships and cruise lines. Storage space was ample for a long cruise, with many drawers. The bathroom (with bathtube) was so well designed that it put to shame baths on much more expensive ships and even rivalled some mini-suites in other companies. Our steward provided excellent service and my requests were promptly fulfilled.

Cabin A273
Jul 2010
A273 - heavily affected by vibration from the left propeller. Otherwise lovely cabin with three good wardrobes, bath with shower. Quiet location. E103 - very quiet, at end of corridor. Twin beds with bunks hanging over. Four good wardrobes. Small bathroom with shower.
