We chose this 8 night cruise as we were keen to visit Venice, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. We flew into Venice a couple of days pre cruise to explore this magnificent city. Easy transport by bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma (I purchased the tickets from home in advance). From there it was a short walk to our hotel the Palazzo Odoni in the Santa Croce district. A tip is to use the ...

We have lot of trip with Norwegian and never been so bad and disappointed. We choose Norwegian Star due to the route which has excellent ports. The disembarkation process on the ports is the worse of the worse on my experience traveling on cruise. They don’t care if you are bronze or ambassador or stay on a suite they make a jumble at the time of get out of the cruise. Super bad communication on ...

We wanted a relaxing trip with the opportunity to visit countries that we never been to. The ship was beautiful and the staff was attentive. The cabin was roomy and well laid out. The balcony gave us our own personal retreat. We purchased passes to the thermal suite which was another respite away from the hustle and bustle of the ship. The Spa offers some great services. I even had an acupuncture ...

Terrific First Cruise

My family of 4 were first time cruisers on a larger family vacation of 15. All in all, the cruise was fantastic and we had a wonderful experience. However, there were were just as many cons as pros. We arrived in Venice 2 days before and were glad to have been able to explore the city in early morning and late evening when most of the cruise ships were gone. Don’t miss this opportunity! Venice is ...

First ever cruise so wasn’t sure what to expect. I chose it for the itinerary - especially the GOT filming locations and Venice. Embarkation and disembarking were easy. Pros - refitted ship is lovely. Spa was a lovely retreat from the heat and crowds, well worth buying the spa pass. Food was mostly good with quick service, especially Aqua. We never had to wait for a table, even for ...

This was our first cruise with NCL, after previously cruising on RCL, principally because of good referrals and also the itinerary. Looking back, I felt like the stop in Montenegro wasn't worth the time, especially the long tendering process and because there isn't much to see or do in Kotor. It was also disappointing that we didn't have as much time in Argostoli, Kefalonia (next stop) as the ...

Explored Venice prior to the cruise departure - used the Crown Plaza associated with NCL - this was great!!! Grand Canal area of Venice was spectacular - hot, but beautiful views. Bus from hotel to ship was smooth and effortless - ship check in very smooth The overall ship is very nice - a smaller ship - which makes everything feel very close - yet comfortable. Most staff are extremely ...

This cruise had the itinerary that we were interested in. Had not been to Venice, Montenegro or Croatia so it was perfect for us. We spent 4 days in Venice and took tours in Dubrovnik, Split and Montenegro. The ship had been renovated, our cabin was spacious, dining was excellent and the staff were amazing. Embarkation and Disembarkation were exceptional and went very smoothly. This was our ...

We have always wanted to go to Greece! We stayed on land first in Venice to explore in a hotel on the canal. The cruise to all the various ports was awesome! So much to see with.each stop. The cruise ship itself was just “good” in my opinion. They refurbished the ship so the new designs were wonderful. Only one pool though. Liked the spa but we didn’t do the Thermal spa because of all the ...

For our 40th Anniversary we decided to fly into Venice a couple of days early to acclimate before the cruise. NCL handled our pre-cruise hotel in the quaint village of Quarto d'Antonio a short 29 minute train ride into Venice. Additionally, we were transported to the pier on the day of the cruise. Embarkation was a breeze. Ups and downs: Ups: the specialty restaurants were very good. ...
