My family and I have done a Disney cruise before. I was told not to expect the same luxury from NCL by friends. Well I do not know what they were talking about I loved ever second and everything about the NCL Jewel and its itinerary to Alaska! The food was superb, entertainment plentiful, cruise director Dan really is the man!! The band Sonata rules the land! I seriously never wanted to get off ...

we went on this cruise to see glaciers, polar bears, etc.. i had seen them before but my wife wanted to see them we chose this departure since it fit into our busy schedulr and was hopefully warmer than ohter times of the year.. nice voyage to the glaciers.. no kids on board so it was very relaxing for the older set.. good entertainment early in the evening so we could get to bed by ...

We chose this cruise ship because it was casual and required not set seating times to dine.We did not want to dress up and wanted the flexibility to eat when and where we wanted to. The specialty restaurants were very good. We liked Cagney's the best followed by Le Bistro and Moderno. We didn't care for Chin Chin. The chicken and pork dishes were not too tasty. We loved the breakfast at Tsar's ...

My husband, 86 year old Dad and I embarked on the Jewel Sept. 3rd. My Dad hasn’t travelled for 17 years, other than short car trips. He desperately wanted to see Alaska, so invited us to go along with him! His mobility isn’t great and sometimes he requires the use of his cane. Vancouver is a beautiful city, and if you have not visited before, allow yourself at least three days here. We lived ...

We chose Norwegian cruise ship Jewel for the Freestyle Cruising. We have taken many Caribbean cruises and liked the idea of not having to pack all the extra evening wear. Packing of warmer clothing for layering in cooler climates can be difficult when trying to stay within TSA luggage weight requirements. We found the more relaxed way of dressing & dining made for a very relaxing and enjoyable ...

I have been wanting to go to Alaska for over 20 years - and I decided the time is now. I also wanted to celebrate my birthday in a special location. When I returned to my room on my birthday, I found a lovely large chocolate (my favorite)cupcake and a birthday card! That was so thoughtful and shows the excellent service and thoughtfulness that was part of the cruise. The ship was beautiful. ...

WE choose this cruise to travel to my wife's birthplace Juneau as well as being with two sons and 5 grandchildren. a great way to travel. We explored Victoria before the cruise and spent a little time in Vancouver. We plan to come back to visit Vancouver. The getting on and off the ship was very smooth. The Norwegian Jewel is well run and has all the amenities one could ask for, including ...

We chose the 7 day cruise and 5 day land (Alyeaka/Denali) cruise to experience different ports and to see Denali. The weather was magnificent as it only rained 1 day on the cruise and it was clear and sunny while in Denali. The NCL Jewel is showing her wear, thus the reason for her update in September 2018. We had great service in the MDR, along with specialty restaurants, Le Bistro, Cagney's ...

I can now scratch Alaska from my bucket list of places to visit, and I could not be happier with my choice to sail with NCL for my trip and first cruise experience. We chose NCL for the overall cost, and the date because of the itinerary (I highly recommend a South to North trip, as each stop got better than the previous one). I travelled with my wife, and we were both overly impressed with the ...

My husband surprised me with the gift of an Alaskan Cruise for my birthday and since I've never been on a cruise before I have nothing to compare it to but I will say that it was absolutely AMAZING. The staff were so nice and friendly and the accommodations were simply perfect. We did the whale watch excursion in Juneau and the White Pass and Yukon Trail train excursion in Skagway - both were ...
