As far as NCL ships go I liked the Getaway as I also liked her sister the Breakaway. I found the ship roomy with lots of nice spaces and lots of things to do. This ship always seemed very crowded. The embarkation was very disorganized.Since we sailed out of NYC it was Cold and then cool for several days. You had the typical elderly farts acting all doom and gloom, and the five dollar millionaires acting as though they have class, but after navigating through that, we made the best out of it. This 11 day cruise was a lot of fun. Most of the staff was great. We found the guest service staff not as friendly as the cabin steward, bar and wait staff who were all very friendly. o’Sheenans, which is the only restaurant open after 10 or 11pm, was not very good.
